Who will be keeping their iPhone 12 series this year?

I’m upgrading my S4 as well. I’m in need of an upgrade for my watch.
Same here. Will keep my 12 mini, though. Battery health is at 90% currently. I’ll probably just exchange the battery eventually. I’m not too concerned as I always have a 20W charger at hand. The benefit of having a small battery is really fast charging times, especially with the 20W charger.

Im debating what I want to do. My 12 mini is at 83% and I a really noticing it. I have apple care till Feb 2023. Not sure if I should just pay out of pocket now, upgrade or wait and hopefully get it under warranty.

If you really like your 12 mini I would keep it and have the battery changed out when it hit 80%. The only problem with that, is it could take longer than February 2023 for it to hit 80%, or it could hit 80% before then. You just never know with these batteries.

I may hold onto my 12 pro at least one more year but we’ll see what iPhone 14 brings

launch unit 90 percent health

was on 14.1 forever now 15.1 since march or so battery life has remained pretty good for me though ymmv I suppose it seems according to others posts

was jailbroken now stock. When new JB comes out will tread carefully with future updates on this device regardless of whether I stay put hw wise or upgrade to a newer phone

I have a green iPhone 12 mini with 256GB, probably the least sold of all iPhone 12 models. I'm keeping this until Apple stops releasing iOS updates for it... maybe a few years after.

95% battery, so looking good.

I can’t wait for a jailbreak to come out for iOS16. With the track record for iOS 14, we probably won’t see one until early next year.

I'm still a bit undecided on upgrading to the 14 Pro Max. My 12 Pro Max has been great, and after 21 months, it's at 91% battery health. I'll probably know by this time next month.

might keep my 12 pro max for another year. its battery health is 87% launch day phone. It all depends on what 14 pro max is going to offer but I am gonna replace my series 4 for sure this year!

I will forsure, my 12P's battery is still in the 90's and it works great. It's a little heavy, but other than that I love it and will use it until I absolutely have to buy a new one.

I’m keeping my 12 PM, launch day phone.
Battery health at 87% so will probably change battery.
IF they don’t fit an USB-C…

How long a timeline ya think that is that you 'absolutely have to buy a new one' :D haha

Lol good question. I've always been on a two year cycle until now so I'm not sure what to expect. The biggest indicator will be the battery, once that's being charged too frequently I'll get angry and upgrade haha

Planning to have a replacement for my 12 mini before AC+ expiring in January 2023. If there will not be a 14 mini I think I will hold on with 12 mini for one or two years.

Not going to upgrade until there's a thinner lighter one. Might buy a second v12 to keep as replacement backup. v12 is plenty for my requirements.

Will be upgrading 12Pro to 14Pro. Battery health is at 86%, but day to day generally it is not an issue. I am a photography nerd, so I am looking forward to incremental camera improvements among other things. Hopefully there is a good trade in deal, it always makes the cost more palatable.

Continue apple care monthly till you hit the threshold for a new battery.

I will keep my 12 Pro Max I think, using it day to day it still feels the same as when I first got it in 2020! I've never experienced that with a phone before.

The changes expected with the 14 (and already implemented with the 13) aren't really that big a requirement for me, I would love the pro motion 120hz, but can't justify the money yet.

With rumours of the 15 next year coming with USB C, it also makes sense to wait and see if that becomes a reality, same for the telescope camera.

Will likely get a battery swap later this year though, mine is at 91% so could even wait longer.

Debating at the moment. Would like to get the 14 Pro but my launch 12 Pro is on 99% battery health and still works fine and I could easily get another year out of it.

Wow that’s a great battery capacity. Mine is the lowest capacity for any iPhone I’ve ever had.
Probably the best I've had. Never really had any issues with the 12 series battery life aside from 5G data which does tend to tank the battery fairly quickly. Hopefully a 14 should be better as it would have a newer modem.
