“Buying no matter what....” Is not a question but an attempt to affirm avarice. If buying something new simply for the sake of its ‘newness’ is justifiable, than there are no arguments that can be made against this.

Buy indiscriminately if you like, but I will not part with my money so easily unless there is a good reason to do so.

I’d say the majority of consumers have rational thoughts similar to what yours is, specifically on a site like this, there are far more members prone to upgrade annually, because they’re heavy tech-Apple enthusiasts. The average consumer doesn’t upgrade iPhones on an annual basis, likely because it’s either not paid off or they just don’t find a reason to if the phone is working perfectly normal.
