I'm a bit obsessed with watches and looking at them online. I can't believe I never noticed this thread!

Here's my Rolex Air King 14010m. Purchased in 2005 and will probably keep it forever. I love the unique engine turned bezel with the classic/clean look of a mid-size dress watch. It was also one of the most affordable Rolex watches because of its size and stainless build. :)

Lovely watch, and long may you enjoy & wear it. 2005? It sounds like a solid and much loved keeper, then.

Nice!!! You don't see many 7+ wrist fellows wearing the good old classic dress watch sizes. You wear the watch well man.

Thank you! Ya, it's getting increasingly rare to see anyone wear the smaller classics. Big is in, and I get it. I like a 42mm diver as much as anyone, but there is something so cool about a traditional dress watch. Especially, a Rolex from 2005. It's like wearing a vintage watch in like new condition. Feels great with a suit or under my sleeves at work. No one hardly ever notices it, but that's the definition of understated. Again, especially for such a high quality timepiece. I wore it on my wedding day, and I will hand it down to my kids. :)

One of my all-time favorites. I own three variants although I'd love to own more. They're going quite a bit higher now that it's discontinued...

It's just got such a distinctive, fantastic character and it was designed by the same guy who designed Steve's yacht (Philippe Starck). I tried to collect as many of his watches as I can.

I don't think all these colors made it to production but these were by far the best watches Fossil ever manufactured.

I've never really owned a watch, but I'm thinking of buying one (or maybe two).

I'm 30 years old. I work in a professional work environment 5 days a week (business casual). I usually wear khakis, polo shirts, the occasional shirt and tie, brown casual dress shoes, brown belt typically.

I'm looking for something clean, simple, solid colors, not too "busy" looking, not too big and gaudy, age appropriate, something that matches what I wear, etc.

I'm considering something like this...

DZ1467.jpg

I think it meets all of my style criteria, and is priced in the right range (I don't want to spend over $100...this one is $89).

On the weekends I usually wear jeans, black shirts, black v-necks often, that sort of thing. So for weekend social attire I'm thinking something more like this...

Again, this hits the cross section of price and preferred style.

Thoughts? Suggestions on other watches like this (similar price and style) that I might be interested in? :)

I know that look is pretty popular right now, but I think you should checkout some of these. http://watchjudge.com/category/+250

Or even this. https://www.bernhardtwatch.com/index.php?id=62

They are a little more than your price range, but you could just get one for the price of the two Diesels, and it would last longer. (build quality, more classic/professional looking etc.)

Just some suggestions, but obviously comes down to what you like the best. :)

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff. I like clean, simple, modern, professional/professional-casual looking. :)

I wouldn't hesitate for a second on those Diesel watches if they didn't have those big "2 - 3 - 4" numbers on them. :/

Check out the Orient Ray/Mako line. It is a little bit over what you want to spend but they are very nice and well built

or the Citizen BM8180

Bought a Blue Ray as a souvenir of my trip Japan. Lot of watch for the money.

+1 on the Mako. Really nice watches for the price. I love mine.

I think it was off your recommendation. Cheers!

Love this watch for the money! You have great taste! :)

Thanks. I love it as well. I'm thinking about taking it back and get the metal bracelet and just get some brown leather bands and change them out when I feel.

I like the Tissot; I used to have a Tissot and it was an excellent watch.

Actually, personally, I much prefer a leather band to the metal ones; I think it is more understated, subdued and elegant, but maybe that is just me.
