What size is that beautiful timepiece? Again, it is absolutely gorgeous and well wear, long may you enjoy it.
Lots of thanks for your kindest words. Sorry for my late reply, didn't saw the notification.
This particular IWC watch has a diameter of 44mm. It's a pretty special one as it's limited and the size is slightly larger than other IWC's.

Gorgeous watch, (and thanks for taking the time and trouble to reply).

As it happens, 44mm is too large for me - as my hands are quite small, as is my wrist, but may you long enjoy the pleasure of wearing it.

If you are looking for an IWC that has a smaller size, perhaps the following one is worth checking out. It's also a Portuguese and it's a real classy watch, which I love to wear as well.

Thank you very much for posting this link and drawing my attention to an exquisite model which is somewhat less massive; these are very beautiful watches.

Hey guys, I sold my watch (Omega Seamaster Automatic) and gave my other watch. I am looking for an affordable mechanical watch (sub 500$) Would love your advice and recommendations.

This is the watch I use every day

Omega Seamaster 300. Please note the tall island in the background. It is James Bond Island :D

A little background. Back in 2011 I bought a mid-sized Seamaster from the mid 90's with a silver bezel and blue dial (before I knew what I was getting). Frankly it was too small for my wrist and it was also a quartz. So in 2013 I sold it when I needed some finances to go study abroad. Since then I have been using mainly a Seiko 5. This past summer I very unexpectedly ended up with more money than I had expected, and because I have wanted a luxury watch ever since owning the other Seamaster, I decided to find a (used) full size model as an early graduation present to myself (I will graduate my master programme in the summer '16). And I have absolutely not regretted it! I truly love this watch :D

Congratulations, I own nearly the same piece. SMPc Co-Axial's are very genuine renditions of a classic dive watch, I love mine more and more everyday and it has converted me to an Omega guy at heart.

Thank you BlakeBrattina. Yes, they truly are great. I especially enjoy just how stunning they look and feel on the wrist. I take it you have the black version, since you say you have nearly the same piece?

I wear on a daily basis the Omega Seamaster Professional of 2008, black dial as well...
Solid, reliable and stylish! I love it as well!

Close, I threw in a trick there. I'm rocking the Brown Leather band instead, always enjoyed the look. I keep the Oyster-type bracelets for my other watches!

A friend of mine's was wondering if Movado and Breitling Galactic are good watches to own? Thank you.

That is also a very nice combo. Unfortunately I don't have the means to enjoy several watches. Do you have any other Omega watches? I have found the bracelet to be extremely comfortable on this watch. The only other watch I have tried with an equally comfortable bracelet was an IWC Aquatimer.

Personally, I must say that I prefer leather straps to the Oyster-style bracelets, as I find them a lot more comfortable to wear.

I always used to think that way too, but my position changed when I got a couple of watches with really good quality oysters that were super comfy. Having said that, I'm particularly partial to a jubilee or a Milanese these days.

Good quality bracelets can be quite comfortable. I agree on the Jubilee bracelet(and would group the President bracelet in with it), especially if they are fitted properly. I admit that I cringe every time I see a Jubilee flopping around on someone's wrist-not only for how uncomfortable it is but also how much damage it does to the bracelet. The infamous "Jubilee stretch" is actually caused by dirt and crud wearing against the inside of the links from movement-something that is minimized on a tight bracelet.

Cheap bracelets can be quite painful to wear, especially if you have hairy arms. Well made ones avoid "pinching" though. I'm also not much of a fan of Speidel bands, although the older ones with "z shaped" links(on the underside) are a lot more comfortable than less expensive ones and knock-offs.

To me, the biggest downside with leather is that it tends to be uncomfortable in hot weather, and can also get REALLY nasty really quickly. Under those circumstances, even if a bracelet gets dirty you can still just wash it off or sonicate it if you really want to get things squeaky clean.

Oh, granted, very hot weather and leather is not a perfect combination. Well, yes, the leather can get 'really nasty', and yes, moreover, it will wear out a lot faster in hot weather, and will need to be replaced earlier than one might have envisaged.

But - in my experience - a good leather band - a well made leather band - is stylish, and remains comfortable to wear in a way that no other material is.
