A cheapo watch I personally think is nice. It's a $17 Casio analog watch that I don't have to worry about. The movement is made in Japan and it keeps excellent time. I bought 2 just in case I break this one. Model # MRW200H-1BV.

Very nice watch designed by a Canadian. I loved it but sold it because it would not fit my wrist comfortably. Plan to get his new one though when it gets done. The Delfin.

Got another one...this time as a college graduation gift from my parents. Second Victorinox Swiss Army watch, taking up the tenth and final spot in my Fossil watch case.

Oh yes. Too true... Would love an AP Royal Oak Offshore but at the same price as a small family hatchback, I can't bring myself to want one THAT much...
Some artsy pictures of overcompensating mechanical piece. It weighs just as much as it looks it does.
It's from this kickstarted project. I like the watch, but I strongly advice against ordering, as it took 2.5 years for it to arrive and you could barely get a hold of the maker. (See the rage in the comment section). The maker also follows the "no soup for you" policy from Seinfeld where you won't get a watch if you misbehave (even if you've already paid thousands of dollars. Sadly made me lose faith in kickstarter.
Thanks for the link. I took the trouble of looking it up, and must say this sounds as though it is a most interesting project, and possibly, something of a labour of love for the manufacturer/maker.
Which model did you (finally manage to) obtain, if I may be so bold as to ask?
Is it possible - or is the mark too "difficult" - to still order from him?
Anyway, lovely photos, fascinating watch (with a great story) and well wear!
I went with the swiss mechanical ($400). (I'd say the $100 quartz would offer the same experience.) It is possible through henrywatch.com. But still I'd advise against it

Very nice gift and a very nice watch. I'm particularly taken with the 'waffle' design on the face of the watch; very elegant indeed.
