^^^^^^^ That is a handsome watch. Whoever gave you the watch was very thoughtful and has excellent taste. A nice thankyou letter is definetly warranted. Cheers
Haha thanks. I picked it out and my parents paid for it.

Very nice gift and a very nice watch. I'm particularly taken with the 'waffle' design on the face of the watch; very elegant indeed.

I am too! It's a nice change of pace from all my other watches, which mostly have flat face designs.

I don't know if this counts as a watch, but I'm currently developing a nice watchface for my Pebble. It's a work in progress, for I'm attempting to reprogram my proof of concept in C++.

Here's my Rolex and a pretty cool fountain pen.

The Rolex is as elegant as one would expect from a classically styled Rolex; that is a lovely timepiece.

Um. What is the pen - in other words, what make is it, (and indeed, what exact model?) and what on earth is it made from? Does it write nicely - by which I mean, is it comfortable and easy and balanced in the hand while you are actually writing with it?

As I write with fountain pens (or my MBA), such things interest me….

It's a Jinhao, made in China. It writes pretty well for a $25 pen. And if you ever get caught in the zombie apocalypse you could use it as a weapon. It's pretty hefty. But it's cool, it gets a few comments.

Here are a few pens and a watch of my own :)

Montblanc 149? Yeah, I'll take two.

I don't really know the names of these different pens but my fav is the one with a tiny diamond.

Actually, as someone who writes with a Meisterstuck Classique (Mont Blanc) daily - and has written with fountain pens daily since I was a teenager - I can honestly say that these are the easily the best designed pens I have ever written with.

The ink glides smoothly and easily over the page, never clogging or clotting, and there is never any strain on my wrist, nor a feel that I have to lean on the pen, or in any way try to force it to write. It is balanced, and easy and comfortable in my hand - most fountain pens are not, and I have never felt tired even after a day's writing.

Myself, I have three of them; one is a roller-ball, (my leafs favourite, though it does duty as an emergency standing); one, the elegant small, Classique identical to the pen on the right of your picture - my favourite - decided to go hors de combat this week; its marginally larger sibling, also a Classique, similar in size to the pen on the left, is now working for a living instead of simply sitting around looking beautiful.

I'll take the Patek thanks.

Oh, well, if that is what we are talking about…….which of us would not, given a choice? Not I, for one...
