Gotta be in it to win it
It happens on my 7 Plus.No lags in both modes but RT does make the phone faster
No difference on 6S. Same speedy phone.

You need a iCloud account to even sync the iPad and iPhone .How is google voice any different?
An icloud account ties all of your idevices together, in a homogeneous way, not patchwork.

Which is impossible. Microsoft has setup the setup software such that all loopholes with keys are plugged . This one is usable because it's allowed. And for your information, this workaround I mentioned is published on Thurott's blog
You happen to have a fully licensed KMS as part of your network?

Yes. Android Gingerbread did get security fixes till now. You should give this article a read. It's pure genius
Okay, my point still stands.

Two more things iPhone Fanboys will claim Samsung copied from Apple, LOL:

Actually are audacious enough to mention a common standard like Bluetooth? Might as well mention the wifi chip.

I've switched back and forth several times. I don't have a problem with either. Both have pros and cons. The problem with Android though ... is that unless you have a new flagship device ... you're basically not getting updates.

With the sort of things that iPhone Fanboys have claimed to be copied? Bluetooth is nothing!

How are you shocked by BT!? When people have claimed Samsung copied something that they are the 1st with before Apple. Come on man.

If there is a new WiFi standard I'll chuck it in, some iPhone Fanboy will claim Samsung copied it from the rumours.

you mean os updates to a higher new version. why do you even need any? is it just because you want or is there some reason behind it?

I can't imagine working with two or more tiny app screens at the same time on even a 5.5" iPhone plus. How does that work, on a practical level?
It's actually not bad believe it or not. On my Pixel with the 5.0" screen I was able to view a live video stream of the election on the top half of the screen while using the lower half of the screen to read articles and/or respond to messages without having to pause/exit the video stream.

Exactly why I generally only recommend a Pixel/Nexus or an iPhone. Getting immediate updates is a huge selling point for me.

Fair point, as long as they are still pushing out security updates/fixes, you don't necessarily need the new Android OS version. Certain devices like the S7 have some features built into their launcher that doesn't exist in stock Android. For example, they had a "close all" for apps which didn't exist in stock Android until Nougat.

I switched to android with the LG G2, then the Note 3. I finally got tired of the slow carrier updates that always seemed to break major features (Bluetooth, camera, screen rotation being the latest) and went back to an iPhone 6S Plus. At least when Apple breaks something they are usually quick to fix it unlike the year long wait for the carriers. And no rooting and installing rom images is not worth it to me.

Same ... and if the phone stops being supported, you can root it and get the latest ... and CyanogenMod is generally very stable ... another thing you can't do on older iPhones.

Yes. Why do you the latest ja newest android version?
Why would you NOT want the latest version of Android or iOS? This may possibly be the silliest question I have seen on this site ... and I've seen a lot.

Because I like Kitkat better than Marshmallow?
And that's your choice. My point is in not having a choice whether you want to upgrade or not. FYI, KitKat is version 4 and Marshmallow is version 6. Version 7 (Nougat) is out now.

I'm honestly not sure why people are defending the idea of not being able to upgrade, lol.

I dont need the latest android version for my old devices. Android isnt ios. Apps are updated via playstore - no need to update the whole operating system like in ios. Android already has so many functions that some of the new features - if added any - have been mainly releated to the hw that my device dont have, so the new os wouldnt do anything "new".

Only foolishness here is continuous whining...

I dont think anyone here is defending it, just saying that it is quite pointless just to upgrade the os because you want rather than you need.

No. For security a reasons you and everyone else needs to keep upgraded.

Getting the latest OS version or updates is not a huge selling point for many people even if the main reason is for security reasons.

To me, iOS getting constant updates is a negative. Out of the box, iPhones don't work. Users are constantly waiting for an update to fix issues.

IMO, I like getting the constant updates and it is a selling to me at least.

Also iPhones do work and work well for my requirements, out of the box. Can you elaborate on that comment?

iOS upgrades is like following a one way path along an edge of a cliff with a lot of forks that eventually take you over the edge with no way of turning back. If you were on 9.3.5 stable and made the mistake of forking to 10.x that has been progressively worse with no way of turning back since 9.3.5 is no longer signed. People who were preaching how iOS Snapchat is 2% better than Android version are now ironically experiencing app crashes or causing iOS 10.2 to freeze and reboot. I prefer my uptime plus there's nothing new in iOS 10.x that's already in even older Android.

iPhones don't work out of the box? Millions of people using their devices right out of the box would disagree with that.

No what happens is out the box if you get a device a few months after an iOS release it works fine, the Aplle launch a big release like iOS 10 which, if you ignore, your iOS device will remind you to upgrade every day when you unlock your device and force you to enter you PIN to not update.. and then when you give in and update you discover Apples latest greatest iOS version has broken everything!!.. ok so not everything but some things.
