How many potential iPhone 11 buyers will
Camera? The Huawei P30 is already ahead, oh yeah, and cheaper.
Keep making up excuses for Samsung. :D
Weren't they responding to why choose a Note 10+ over a One Plus 7 Pro when saying camera?

As for the P30, it's personal preference if you like the pictures it produces over a Samsung S10/Note 10.

The p30 Pro doesn’t have an S-pen. Huwawei also need to improve their video recording capabilities. Their desktop mode isn’t as good as Dex imo.

We also don’t know how the US ban will pan out long term.

Reports from the last few days are saying the mate 30 pro won’t launch with android or any of the google apps.

I was talking strictly about the camera, as that's the reason they gave for choosing a Note over a OP7 (and then brought up Huawei). If it were about the device as a whole, the Huawei doesn't come close.

The iPhone 11 is just the same phone as the iPhone X. So why spend so much money buying the same phone twice. Geekbench warriors will disagree drooling how much higher scores they get, but in real world usage it is the same phone.

Better buy a Samsung Note 10+ and have the best of both worlds alongside your “old” iPhone X.

But stats from Apple are showing most iPhone users don’t upgrade every two years, so the real question is whether it’s worth it to upgrade from a 7 or older model to one of the 11 models.

If size is not an issue, I’d say going from a 7 to and 11 is probably worth it. If you’d like to keep your phone close to the same size, going from the cost of a base 7 to an 11 Pro might make looking at an Android more attractive.

Because for most iPhone users the note 10 plus isn’t IOS and for most that’s why

And most don’t buy two phones...average customer it isn’t normal to do so and not needed

i have been on android since i had my first phone i wouldn’t go back to it hate the lags in android the keyboard delay i like small screens like mine iphone 7 and i love the touch button with my finger to unlock android doesn’t have much in that size with great performance no lags or whatever
I would not go back i did it when i had my SE after a year 3.5 screen was too small and i went to android one year more until i bought this beauty
End of the road for me

I disagree with the biggest reason being Samsung is Android. Also, the camera on the iPhone 11 is going to be a HUGE upgrade over the X and will surpass both the Samsung and Pixels. You can take that to the bank. But you go ahead and get a Note if that makes you happy but do not tell me what to buy.

And you know exactly how good the camera on the iPhone 11 is compared to the Pixel 4? Interesting.

It’s funny.. I feel there has been a ‘lull’ in the ‘my choice is better than your choice’ discussions, but recently were back to the same old arguments. I am still with iPhone mostly because my whole family is Apple for the most part. The family sharing of photos, apps, music, etc. is great. Privacy definitely played a role up to this point but with recent events I don’t know how I feel anymore. My data is out there and boring as ever..

I consider the Note and pixel lines every single year, for me, I can’t handle losing ALL of my Apple products (phone, watch, pods) for one great product from a competitor. If I got a note, galaxy watch, and buds for free or a really great deal, I can’t say I wouldn’t switch over completely... and I’m sure it would work great for me and I wouldn’t have any problems. I’m not worried about perceived lag or any kind of missed updates.

I hope Samsung and Google keep killing it and bringing over iOS users. Competition is great for innovation and then we all win.

Would be nice if we had a legit third option besides Android and iOS.

For me I'm just comfortable with stock Android phones, like Nexus, OnePlus, and Pixel. I get frustrated with how iOS works, I try to like it, but something about it just seems wierd and not my cup of tea.

Back in the day I had the HTC One M8 converted to GPE, man for the time that really was the best phone and best OS.

Just wait and mark my words, Microsoft is working on something BIG.

This is funny. The Pixel cameras have been superior to iPhones since their release, but somehow you think you know that the new iPhone will surpass them this year. Why's that? Because you're an apple fanboy and you want it to be true. I wouldn't count on it. Google right now is really far ahead of everyone else when it comes to post processing.

It's possible Apple might implement a better wide angle shot than flagship Android device.

Personally I couldnt care less about wide angle shots. I just dont see the point. Id always rather have a dedicated 2x.

I agree with everyone predicting that Iphone cameras will take a big leap forward this year. Theyve obviously made it the focus this year. But whos to say the Pixels, who already lead camera quality in phones by a large margin, dont also take a big leap forward with the addition of another rear lens?

One should get an android if one likes being tortured.

So many good points in that post. Lots to take away.

Optical Zoom means very little to me at only 2x. Now at 5x optical zoom, that makes a huge difference.

Not sure how I would have got through the day without this insightful, well thought out post.

It would be better if you could zoom through the range up to 5x optically and not just 2x or 5x.

The S10+, which I had for a week, does NOT compare with even iPhone XR in reality. Play Fortnite as demanding game test... it stutters on the Samsung as it's just simply not as well optimised. Blame Samsung... Blame Google... Blame the developers... but don't blame me for noticing it and having a crappy experience and going back to the iPhone, where, it 'just works'. OP should know this, but he has disappeared.. troll.

The in-display fingerprint scanner was a deal breaker for me.

I mean, yeah, it's cool. But it doesn't necessarily work all the time, Idk if it's as secure as it should be, but it's not as fast as Touch ID was for me.

For me, that was what I felt bad for Samsung about. They'd made this beautiful, stunning, well built phone FULL of party tricks and cool features (like the heart rate sensor on the back)... and yet... the iPhone with its simplicity, robustness and focus only on serious implementations of the serious features we value, which all just work.. won out.

@0989382 It depends what you want to use your phone for as to what would be more worth it. And in display FPS on an S10/Note 10 is secure but, (in my opinion) not as good as a traditional one or Face ID.

As for the op, (going off previous posts) he's probably off playing with his billionaire friend & upset the new iPhone won't have a QLED logo on the back so he can show off. :D

and have a phone that is slower than the last two iPhone generations. Add to that the bad standby life and the mediocre software that is available on Android. It sounds like a bargain

sooo many silos here....Sooo many the one i like is better than yours statements as fact instead of just plain old personal preferences.

I have used both Android for a great number of years. I have had every iPhone since the first one.
There are pros and cons to both platforms. Neither one is perfect.....
there are some things Android just does better than IOS.....
There are some things IOS just does better than Android.....

I have the Note 10+ and Xs Max and had the Pixel 3 XL but sent it in to get the N10+
All 3 phone provide a great overall user experience.......that is what counts in the long run.....
Be happy with your choices....don't put another choice down because it isn't yours....

What if I am happy with my current iPhone? You are trying to hold a gun to our head and saying we must buy Samsung?

I do not take to ultimatums like that very well, so I will have to give you big resounding "NO!!!" and advise for others, buy whatever makes you happy or keep the your current phone if that makes you happy.
Where did it say you need to buy a Samsung?

As someone who's also been on both platforms for about a decade. I don't care about people's preferences, it's just a pet peeve to see people make obvious false claims about either platform.
