Hahaha, I know right? No one ever mentions it.Didn’t know there was a fight between north and south England. Ahaha

It's weird... I still think if they are doing to update just ONE iMac, it will be the 27" one. Who even buys the tiny ones anymore? What keeps baffling me is that the models in backorder are the iMac 27" and the iMP, while the 21.5" seems in good stock.
Exactly the opposite of what more than one rumour led to think.

At 50W it performs like RTX 2070 at 115W in Windows like a guy commented.I hate to post questionable YouTube videos, but this video touches on a few gaming benchmarks for the new 5600M. It's actually not that bad... A 5700M could do wonders if north of 100w.
I’m a Quebecois.
And we are the king at complaining but doing nothing.
Just look at our sh*tty roads and infrastructures ... ahah.
Our cars break because of our sh*tty roads, literally.
I love so much England. Never been there, unfortunately, but I was planning to after finishing my master. Wanted to visit Oxford, UCL, Cambridge, Wimbledon. I loooooooove so much the british accent. Listening shows on netflix only because of the beautiful accent British have. God save the Queen !

Just a few more days to go. I can't wait!!!!! (to be disappointed)

Time for a bigger desk, my friend. Make the leap!I physically don't have room for a 27" iMac on my desk with a second monitor. I'd love the 21.5" models except they're generally terrible deals for the money compared to the 27 inchers, which I don't get.
Yeah, I've noticed all the bad stuff here very quickly.
The construction is controlled by mafia, food is bad (even though people believe its really good - still amazes me),
taking a bixi on your way home is basically suicide in the evening because of the roads and banking and services are literally 20 years behind. And please don't get me started on the hospitals or emergencies. I once waited 6 hours to be seen when I had spine/head injury!!! and the nurse had the audacity to tell me that I'm lucky because most people wait around 12 hours!!!
Anyway, you are right. You might complain but I feel not to the right people.
On the other hand, the life here is not as hectic as in London and the property market is cheap. For families its super friendly so its not all bad.
It could be much better though if the main focus wasn't on french vs english.)))
Anyway, one day I'll start a complaining movement here and maybe we will achieve an improvement.![]()

Now Apple, show us how its done on monday, PLEASE!!!![]()

This thread really has taken a turn, and I think much of that is my fault. Apologies, all. That’s what she said.

I had to check the backorder status of the iMP which confirms my suspicion that whatever the iMac 27" morphs into will be the new iMP. Beats me why the 21.5" is in stock.
My gut feeling is that RDNA 2 is coming on Monday in some form. Better for AMD to let Apple announce RDNA 2 because of more eyes. CC is on standby!!!
I hope so! A 5600/5700 would be great, but still disappointing given it is a year old... RDNA2 please!I had to check the backorder status of the iMP which confirms my suspicion that whatever the iMac 27" morphs into will be the new iMP. Beats me why the 21.5" is in stock.

Here in Italy iMac 21" and iMP have the same status = 22nd June
iMac 27" = 6th July
what if they introduce new iMP and still mantain long expedition time for iMac 27?.... i think that in the last 3 years highest market share was for iMac 27" instead of iMP.....
RDNA2 is expected to be unveiled in September but Apple has premiered some AMD GPUs before the actual introduction to the PC market (Vega 56 and 64). We'll see.

Also i recommend to watch "Snatch", because it's a great movie and because afterwards you either know if you can understand some British or if you would starve outside of london.
wasn't there a rumour earlier in the year about a gaming imac coming out? RDNA2 would make sense plus PS5 got announced last week. or perhaps I am just overthinking everything. My sleep is going to be interrupted on Tuesday morning. The curse of being in the southern hemisphere.
Even for me iMP is coming to be 16th-17th July as delivery dates and iMac 27 as 23rd -24th July.

that could be a possibility. I think if it happens it may be wallet out time again..... i am just hoping they can be purchased immediately, as it would be good timing for me. I am hoping for a 24” iMac that I can max out - this would make me a very happy Apple customer [really don’t like the 27” and have found 24” is the sweet spot for my work].
edit - I expect it will be 27” only also
iMac Pro and iMac 27-inches could be the new same product, discontinuing the iMac Pro.
A lot of people buy 21.5” iMacs still. Why else would Apple keep selling them for well over a decade if they didn’t have a market for it?

It is kind of time for me to update my 2011 iMac, but I don't need a new one right now.
I use my iMac mainly for webdevelopment, but I occasionally like to play games (but mostly AAA-titles on Windows, not the casual stuff).
I thought hard about upgrading my iMac to the 2019 one, but it feels to me this was a minor update and also that a redesign is around the corner (expecting 2020, maybe earlier, it happened before).
When a redesign happens, I expect:
Some people are predicting Apple to switch to ARM processors in 2020. If this would be the case, gaming on Windows would be impossible right as far as I know.
- Smaller bezels (as all new Apple's products have)
- Improved display (but not expecting XDR display level)
- SSD by default, starting with 256GB, no more fusion drive
- T2 chip, or possibly T3
- FaceID or TouchID
- 10th generation intel
- AMD Navi GPU
- 16GB RAM by default (possibly not upgradeable anymore)

im wondering if the redesign is with the 27in, a new 23in and keeping the 21.5 as is and lowering the price as the entry level model
