Black arguably would have been worse with these colors. Wish they had been able to color-match the aluminum, but I am guessing they tried and it looked even worse (different shade and texture).

Its literally don on iPhone. With both Black and the back color involved.

I'm sure it's a beast of a machine. I figured they'd make the machine thick enough to eliminate the chin. Not sure how I feel about white bezels with a colored chin. Has a colored iBook feel with all that white. Is there no silver option?

I wonder if they'll tease the 27/30/32 at the end. something about this entire presentation makes me wonder if the larger model will be called iMac Pro.

MagSafe is nice, but a fixed power supply cable? Not so much.

Guess we will see the same on MBP (like the original MagSafe power supplies).

It needs to be called Pro. It has to "look" much different. This might have the power due to M1, but it feels like a family computer.

So I wonder if this was planned to be ready last October with the other M1 launch Macs - we'd been hearing about it since early 2020.

iPad Pro has M1 - not A14X

Surprised, but I can see why they want to tie them together since I expect this iPad Pro will have Thunderbolt.

EDIT - And my expectations have been met. :)

OMG. This is so bad. (Tim Cook stealing their own chip)

But well, essentially the iMac looked like the iPad anyway so....

So now that we are on iPad Pro...

My belief is even stronger the 32" will be the "iMac Pro" and will now be announced at WWDC with the 14" MacBook Pro and 16" MacBook Pro. We might also see a Mac mini Pro. And the new Apple Thunderbolt Display.

And it's not going to be cheap.

My Apple Card is ready.

Ah, the time has come to start the "BUT THEY DONT SHOW HARDWARE AT WWDC OFTEN!!!" debate of every year.

iMac Pro in Fall. They just released a 27 incher, there is nothing going on software wise yet for ARM. Would not get my hopes up, happy to have bought the Intel version. :D

Split the difference with you - announced at WWDC and ships in the Fall/Winter. :p

The difference between iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacMini and iPad Pro now literally is screen size, power source, RAM, cooling fans and input devices.

Thats super cool on iPad I guess, but pretty disheartening for MacBook Pro and iMac (as long as there is no iMac "Pro" bringing more).

I really like the new iMac. Only gripe is that it is going to be $1499 minimum to get 16GB of RAM.

Also, as badly as I want one, it would be hard to buy it over just getting an M1 MacBook Air. Cheaper, same performance for almost all real world tasks, and much more flexibility.

Make it an iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and you get touch input on top of everything.
If they allow MacOS to run on it you litteraly would get everything. No reason no to actually. Lets see if they bring it during this presentation.

So they were able to replicate the Pro Display XDR performance using MiniLED on the iPad Pro...

Wonder what the MiniLED iMac Pro and MacBook Pros will be like... 13" to 32" is a huge jump so not expecting XDR-level performance, but it could be significantly better than what we have now.

There literally is no reason not to allow MacOS on this iPad Pro but "we want you to buy a laptop as well LOL"

This is one of the reasons Jason Snell said they would not call the iPad Pro's SoC the M1, but instead the A14X - "If they do, people will say 'let it run macOS, cowards'."

I was planning to buy the 12.9" iPad Pro to replace my 2018 model, but I really think I am going to wait for the MiniLED MBP (or better, MBA).

Keep in mind that they started this presentation boasting their environmental dick size.
