Been using the Zagg glass one on my 11 after not using any screen protectors on my last couple phones. It’s been holding up pretty well, just got one tiny vertical scratch on the bottom left corner, barely noticeable.

I noticed this company has not yet issued screen protectors for the 12 yet... Is it possible the one for the 11 will fit the 12 and 6.1” Pro or are the dimensions slightly different?

isn’t the iPhone 12 screen flat compared to the iPhone 11 Pro? If so, that might be a reason in addition to the iPhone 11 pro being 5.8 and the iPhone 12 at 6.1 screen. Apple site shows at the Apple iPhone 11 is 6.1 inches but the iPhone 11 Pro is 5.8? Must be a mistake

Yes, will be buying one for DW and I. And I will painstakingly try to put them on as even as possible without any bubbles or a speck of dust beneath the protector. I demand full silence in the house with every light on in the room on top of a lamp shining directly on the phone while I'm doing it.
You forgot the appropriate music.

I used to use the more expensive screen protectors but I've come to realize that the cheaper ones ($10 range) work great, and I'm far more inclined to replace it when it gets scratched. For me, the whole point is that when it's scratched I can easily and cheaply replace it and not look at scratches. If the thing costs $50 I'm less likely to do so. Which defeats the purpose.

Well I dislike screen protectors as they alway feel in the way of my interaction with the device; as well as them being a total pain in the neck to fit. But recently I have used the folio case which provides protection for the screen, so not sure now that option no longer exists.

Anyone see any non-glass screen protectors?

I didn’t notice any yet from Tech Armor, the brand I have been using forever.

I have a Skinomi matte on my Xs Max. Been on for over a year and it looks great still.

The tempered glass ones feel just as good as the original glass IMO. And if you get one that includes the installation 'frame' it's really pretty easy nowadays.

Yes always!!! It’s protection for the original glass. My use of glass screen protectors have saved the iPhone’s original glass many times. With COVID still around and Apple stores closed, I definitely will put a full screen glass protector on my iPhone. I ordered some last night along with a leather case for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I am ready!

Considering how my 8 looks: YES. Its amazing that this phone managed to continue, the back side is basically open and many of the internal components are showing.

Using a case and a screen protector gives you a way higher resell value if you would want to upgrade in the future.

Since the 12 pro is somewhat expensive it costs me little to protect this value from declining, should this value ble needed to be used i.e for selling or trading in.

I have cracked 4 Otterbox "Edge to Edge" screen protectors so yes, my new Zagg screen protector is already in the mail. (Thank goodness for warranties. Each cracked screen protector has been replaced by Otterbox and not Apple.)

Does anyone else feel as though the iPhone has a proclivity for the floor? :)

I like the ESR ones but on my iPhone XS I went though about 6 of them over the course of 2 years, they always seem to lift in the corners for me, so going to give the Belkin one a try this time round.

I’ve never had that or any other problems with the ESR screen protectors. Maybe I’m just lucky.

I agree. They feel just as good and are not a detriment to the display image quality.

They are actually available for the 12 and 12 Pro from Zagg directly or your carrier. I have already ordered a Zagg one from Verizon, but I’m undecided if I want to use it.

Ultimately I probably will use one because while I don’t drop my phone I don’t want it to scratch

I haven’t used a screen protector for any of my iPhones and have never felt the need for them. Looking at my 11 Pro with the screen turned off, I can see a few small insignificant scratches here and there, none of which are visible with the screen on. My wife works with kids and needs screen protectors and every time I use her phone I’m always distracted by the extra layer. So no, and I will continue not to use them.

Nope, I don’t see the obsession with babying and mollycoddling electronic devices like jewelled trinkets.

Thanks! Might well give it another try.

And, IMO, you don't need to spend a ton of money. I'll never spend more than $20 for a 2 or 3 pack. Check reviews of the product, and for these early days of something new (since iPhone 12 is brand new) you can check the same product for the iPhone 11 for example to get a sense of the general quality of the product a given company sells.

Definitely will. Mine spends time in backpack while hiking and mountain biking.

Slightly OT, but this may be the phone I finally go screen protector only and no case at all. I mainly get a thin case just for grip purposes. We'll see how the 12 Pro feels.
