Wow good. I'm glad they're doing that now.At the moment, yes, but it's been superseded by COVID passports. "Show us you've been vaccinated or be subject to weekly testing", from the letter a friend of mine received from their school.

Yeah, so much for choice and HIPAA protections. I think I ought to hang a sign up at work, "HPV vaccine required for entry.", you know, "for our safety".Wow good. I'm glad they're doing that now.
Not at this point in time, but likely in a future update. Exposure Notifications only work if you have a State app installed. Oh wait...

I wish my state had that 🙁and it works.
Never installed an app but have had a few alerts.
Why am I totally unsurprised by that?Wow good. I'm glad they're doing that now.

Vaccine status is not HIPAA protected. I work in healthcare and know the rules backward and forwards. Anyone can ask your status. You don’t have to answer, and they don’t have to accept you if you don’t. It only applies to transferring or talking about your health data without your consent.Yeah, so much for choice and HIPAA protections. I believe you're incorrect on that. ANY health information is HIPAA protected. Making me carry around a vaccine card for entry, or continued employment, *IS* a violation of my personal health privacy.Vaccine status is not HIPAA protected. Vaccine passports are a good way to go around that.
Forcing you to show vaccine status would be a violation. An employer, an airline, another country, a restaurant, etc. can ask you to show your status, and deny you if you refuse.I believe you're incorrect on that. ANY health information is HIPAA protected. And before you start preaching to me about not understanding HIPAA, I used to teach HIPAA classes. I've read the rules, cover to cover, several times.
And, as with Apple's CSAM detection, I reject the premise of the concept regardless of my vaccination status, which I will not share here. The day my employer requires it is the day I quit.Forcing you to show vaccine status would be a violation. An employer, an airline, another country, a restaurant, etc. can ask you to show your status, and eBay you if you refuse.
They can’t force you to show your status, but they can deny you (legally) if you refuse.
Well, this is a different topic for discussion. I have my own opinions about the vaccine, the efficacy of said vaccine, the legality of forcing people to get the vaccine, and so forth. I'm going to drop this line of conversation, before a mod drops it for me.Forcing you to show vaccine status would be a violation. They can’t force you to show your status, but they can turn you away (legally) if you refuse. It’s your choice to share or not.
I teach hipaa too, and I enforce it. This has been tested in court more than several times. Healthcare has always required the flu shot and TB status as a condition of employment.
You're better off letting your employer fire you for it than quitting. But I digress. And, as with Apple's CSAM detection, I reject the premise of the concept regardless of my vaccination status, which I will not share here. The day my employer requires it is the day I quit.
Agreed. I only brought it up because it fits in with other pieces of a puzzle that all seem to be happening at once...and I don't like the picture it's revealing.Well, this is a different topic for discussion. Probably. I got an extra month's pay the first time around. You're better off letting your employer fire you for it than quitting. But I digress.
Only 3.8% would leave. The only people truly angry have something to hide. Who's not against child porn?
And that's just here. Most people are like me. Catch those bastards!Only 3.8% would leave.

Like the thousands of idiots that share this stuff on facebook? How?
With how easy Apple supposedly made it to turn this off so Apple doesn’t have to check (they don’t have to anyway) the only ones that might be caught are the idiots who download it and store it in the iCloud. Won’t catch any creators at all.
The design based on the stated intent is laughable at best.
