Had a nice Coffee Stout from Avery Brewing company this past weekend called "Out of Mind". This one, when it warmed up a little, the coffee really came through. Good beer, would definitely have it again! If you can find it on tap, well worth it.

Sounds great, I find stouts generally tend to peak around cellar temp...

Speaking of which, I enjoyed a nitro milk stout from Left Hand this evening.

How is the Chateau Margaux? I am jealous. That one is a dream if I can order a glass of it.
If you're dreaming, look at Pétrus.

When it comes to food... how do you guys enjoy pairing... wine or beer? :D
Well Champagne goes with about anything, but I think it's a matter of personal taste. I find often a dry white will go with about anything no matter what tradition says. It's often better with cheese than red.
For Chinese/Thai/indian I prefer beer.
Belgian beer is best I think They have such variety and always excellent quality.
I'm British but a traitor as I always find British ale tastes soapy to me.
If it's the wine which really matters and you want it to memorable, I go for red and I adore the wines of the Loire valley (red and white). But a good claret won't last long with me either.
A nice alternative is also some of the Belgian Lambic beers- Lindemans Framboise for example. So clean and sharp.

Changed out the tag on our wine locker at a local steakhouse and grabbed a nice bottle of Pinot Noir for dinner.

And again, a glass of CBS from Founders.

Where do you buy your Founders from? I ask as I have been keeping an eye out for it but so far it eludes me? Over Christmas I viewed several beers in a few supermarkets but did not see anything made by Founders.

My (up market) off licence manages to obtain some. Thus far, (cough), I seem to have been able to lay hands on er, three crates.

I shall pay them a visit presently, and see how many bottles (or crates) they have left; then, I shall offer to buy them, or as many as they are prepared to sell me.
