Some fine wine mostly from Burgundy, including one of my favorite Meursault.

It was so good I had a second one!!! If you can get your hands on one, please try it! Do I dare say it is right up there with if not better than KBS... It is that good!
That is a serious recommendation, not least because I am more than partial to KBS.

Price in Swiss francs so pretty inexpensive which is not necessarily an indicator of quality but that name...

Hmmm.

I do recall how introgued I was when I came across a Hungarian wine with the name "Bull's Blood" a couple of decades ago. And yes, it was rather inexpensive.

Naturally, I bought it, and served it with (what I thought was an appropriate match), a goulash meal.

The kindest (yet most accurate) description for this wine would be for e to call it "rough". But, yes, palatable.

Do enjoy, and let us know what you think of it.

I love the labeling on this!!! I would pick it up just for the labels lol! I mean it can't be "that" bad!

Meursault 1er Cru Les Clos de Perrières with langoustines????

It was flabbergasting but the main issue is now everything is gone. This is one of my favourite Meursault, a pure delight. Can be considered as a Grand Cru.

Some time ago the specialist wine and beer merchant where i sometimes go had West Vleteren 12 in stock, at 10 euro’s a bottle. My dad and me picked up a couple just for the experience and to compare it to Rochefort 12.

The West Vleteren was undeniably the better beer - just the right combo of alcoholic fumes, sweet notes, and nuttiness.

Had the following offerings from Modern Times this past weekend:

Soft Swerve Stout line:

Fudgy Brownie Pretzel - Couldn't really taste the pretzel, but man-o-man the fudge was off the charts! Delicious in that respect.

Banana Coconut Sunday - Absolutely nailed this one. Yum!

And one of my favorites from them, which I have had on more than one occasion:

Black House: Coffee Roasty Stout. Delicious!!!

@rhett7660 those sound intriguing. I must admit I am sceptical becasue I ma rather used to bitter beers for the most part, even cherry lambic has a sour note (love it though). But if I ever see one of those in a local specialty shop I may try it.

I have been having to deal with more frequent alcohol induced headaches lately thus greatly limiting the scope of my consumption.

Can't stop myself from enjoying a nice glass of the Saint-Julien variety of Bordeaux anyways.
