Brands that aren’t 16 a 4 pack?
Sorry?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

Are you describing cost? Or price? In what currency?

Anyway, my own personal preference - for what it is worth - is one where I seek quality (over quantity).

I haven't prioritised quantity (or cost) since my student days (which were some decades ago).

Yes, it sounds like the poster is discussing the cost of a four pack. I laugh as I just purchased a four pack for just over $30 dollars. EEEEEK. But it was so worth it. Soooooooo worth it.

Sam Adams and Dogfish Head World Wide Stout Utopia Barrel Aged Stout. Yes that is a mouthful. LOL.

Yes, that is the view that I also take: Quality over quantity.

My little Trappistes Rochefort habit does not come cheap: So what? They brew some of the very best beers in the world, and that is what I want - and wish - to drink, sip, savour and enjoy.

Sours I’ve seen are $16 for a 4 can pack. Looking for a budget option.

Sorry:

I can't really be of assistance here, as I don't do "budget options".

This is because the categories of both budget options and quality beers do not usually intersect, and my drinking preferences lie with quality beers.
I used to go non budget then realized I was hitting close to thousands a year on it. Now trying to throw extra money at bills.

Red Wine drinkers; Do you decant the wine before drinking. I must admit that I do but think it's more a ritual than a necessity? I like to decant the wine an hour before drinking but not sure it's needed? Just curious what others do?

Well, I read about it but I never got a proper answer. For aged wine, I think it helps because it let the wine breathe.

It’s also a ritual to wait before enjoying the wine: you can check about it, learn where & how it’s made…while take sip if you can’t wait haha

It just seems so much more "civilised" for one to decant. (Ha! that sentence seems so old fashioned!) 😂

Actually, no, not usually.

Instead, I will open the wine well in advance (in winter time, this can mean hours in advance), to allow it to breathe.

However, if I am in a hurry, - i.e. unexpectedly (possibly because guests may have turned up) want drinkable robust red wine to be available in under an hour - then, yes, I will decant a botttle.

Agree that this - waiting - is a must agreeable, enjoyable and civilised activity.

Again, agreed.
