Had this at the US MIssion this afternoon for the Indepedence Day picnic - free too along with sliders, crab cakes, potato and bean salad and lots of watermelon.
90 Minute IPA from Dogfish head brewers
Really nice IPA but at 9% maybe not the best in 28 degree sunshine.

I find that my preference (in winter, quite marked) for what one might euphemistically describe as "robust" beers drops off quite dramatically in the summer, especially if the weather is not just warm, but downright hot.Ha...! That is funny. If you have an opportunity and you like IPA's, it is a little pricey, but the 120 Minute IPA is something to try out! Not on a hot day though. It is a sipping IPA!

Then, a nice, cold, beer - something akin to a clear lager - at 4.5%-5% abv is more than ample for my needs and enjoyment.
Is it possible that this mismanagement was deliberate, or yet another example of egregious (corporate) incompetence?Sad news breaking today: Sapporo USA announced they are completely shutting down Anchor Brewery in San Francisco. A 127 year old American brand, the first craft brewery in this country, is going to be wiped out. An awful shame that Sapporo utterly mismanaged them to the point that this is happening.
