According to the Dictionary app, it's behoove, but behove is an alternate spelling.

Actually, the correct spelling is:

be
cow-hooves-for-dogs-FEATURED.jpg

😂

Seriously, that's what I think about every time I hear that word.

In a coffee shop.
i’m sure it has been noted before - influencer.
i loathe the word.
it is so pretentious … 😒
But this is not just that noun, that word, that is unsettling, - for it does describe something that the monetisation of the online space has allowed to happen - but that whole online world - that virtual universe where "influencers" dwell and without which they couldn't exist - that is equally pretentious and discomfiting. They simply (and appallingly) reflect the world that gave rise to them.

one of my current favourite words is defenestration, especially when speaking with green type people as they think it has something to do with cutting down old growth forests, which is a bone of contention hereabouts on the north coast of NSW (Australia) where i’m residing for Xmas.
it actually means to throw someone out of a window 🤓
I’m a “founding member” of the so-called Computer Anti-Defenestration League, insofar as I repair computers for (mostly) seniors…

'you can't be serious' is another annoying phrase to my ears.
wait what?
of course i'm serious otherwise i would not have made the statement!
or, if it's someone i really want to p**s off, i may respond with - i couldn't be any more serial/cereal on this matter if i tried.
which usually elicits - wait, what?
the problem is that grammar, punctuation, elocution and english comprehension is no longer taught in schools.
there are so many delicious nuances in the hinglish language that younger people rarely latch onto them these days.
for example: ask someone under the age of 25 what is a double entendre? …

One of the most annoying words for me is: glitching. Customer’s phone is glitching? It’s fair to say that this word bothers me 😂
