What kind of games are they? (If you don't mind me asking). Also, I'm from the east coast as well. Hopefully the acceptance rate isn't too bad, although I feel like it's about 40% but that's just me guessing from forums.

Just Submitted!

I barely made the deadline earlier. Sounds like everyone worked hard and put in alot of time. Good luck to all!

New Zealand sounds so cool though!! I live in New York, so its a ways from Cali. :(

The only requirements are that it is made in xcode and written in objective C. I'm not sure if that exactly answers your question though.

They are 3d games. Not sure if you know what portal is, but one was kind of like it and then another I haven't published yet, but it is another 3d puzzle platformer that is based on a new mechanic I came up with myself. What were your games?

I am 16 from Switzerland. I hope very much to get in this year.

How did you guys start to learn Obj C and all the things needed for creating apps? I've dabbled with it in the past but never really got past doing anything but really simple apps.

Anyone recommend any good resources? Thanks.

I really love the for dummies books. Check out Objective-C for dummies and also iPhone application development for dummies. Both are great books. make sure you get the iphone application development for dummies book in color. Makes things so much better. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck! and may the force (of development) be with you. :)

I can able to get the domain for you guys. I have hosted few websites.

One of them is Xbox360Content.com, it used to be good but now its down the drain.

That's A LOT OF CALLS (OVERSEAS)

I have contacted Apple around 7 or 8 times, if you're lucky, you get the ones who are really willing to assist and help you. The others would put you on hold for like 6 minutes listening to some weird music.
I inquired them about the App file, and seems like they said no matter Mac or iOS application, the App file is supposed to be in .app format and compressed to .zip. (DO NOT Upload .ipa, because it is used for App Store distribution).
They said the license can either be distribution/development, as long as the certificate is signed with your/your parents' name.

Hope I can see you guys there!!!
Ernie.

.IPA versus .APP

The .APP is inside the .IPA, and is pretty easy to access.

If I uploaded an IPA, will they be able to read it?

Jake

Hmm - I uploaded the IPA. I'm not being funny, but how can they use a .app anyway - the .ipa is what they'd surely use?
I'm sure it'll be fine...

I have also uploaded a .ipa. I think that an ipa file is just a compressed .app file, so double click it and they should be able to have the .app file.

Hi
.ipa is the distribution file for your application for the App Store. It is usually signed with your distribution certificate, I was very confused at first as well, but the support team told me to drag the.app file out of Xcode.
