This worked for me- so, if it helps other, great. Like you, I read the instructions on the card. Keep your phone off. Went to the site, logged in, did the text to verify- didn’t work, so did the email. Got it, activated, and got to a screen that said “make sure your phone is connected to WiFi.” They are not talking about your new phone. It’s your old phone. Let it do its thing, it will say it’s done, and then turn on your phone and set it up. I think a lot of people are seeing the “make sure it’s connected it WiFi” and turning on their new phone, which, according to many in this thread, breaks the process.
