Ok, someone help me out. I posted this comparison a few pages back:

X on the left, 12 pro max on the right. The X was a replacement this year because a battery issue. The 12PM is not that blue, but it is on the cool side. I am going to assume everyone wants that 12PM screen versus the X screen?
Looks like colour filter is setup on the 12 Max.

I think that next update will go live in 2 days, so lets hope for the best. Our eyes are looking at Apple right now, thats everything we can do about it. Lets wait a few days and then decide what to do with the phone.

:) Have a nice day!

You guys are all repeating yourselves at this point. How about posting something new concerning this issue? Every time I get an alert someone posted something new here it’s just repeating the same things. There’s 2500 posts. Stop 🛑

unless there’s a response from Apple or a new solution

and no I don’t want to see a picture of your phones yellow tint

the bigger the thread gets, the more chance of MR writing a front page article on it, better chance of other publications picking up on it.... nowadays the only way companies address things is if it goes viral and gets enough attention.

As far as I know, Apple has the full week off as it‘s thanksgiving on Thursday.
So I guess no update this week.

its really cool zollotech took the time to take a look at the issue + take it seriously

however, hard to see in the video the differences, especially against that white backdrop.

some well photographed pictures would've been better
He responded to me saying it's hard to capture the white points on camera. That was always the case for me when I did the same thing. It never matches what your eye sees and sometimes even gives opposite results when OLEDs are compared to LCDs.

This is such a moot point but every year it’s the same old thread
I realize the issue has been talked about before, but until this year I would say every screen looked better than the previous. I noticed the warmer look on my 12 Max during set up. So while it may not be a new problem it’s new for me. My spouse’s 12 Pro has the same issue.

This is a problem that I think doesn't get enough acknowledgement as an issue. Sure, maybe iphone screens have got progressively warmer and so could be less of an issue for those people who upgrade frequently, but it's also costing Apple a customer, at least in my case.

I've never owned an iPhone before, having used Android since forever. I bought an iPad Pro a few months ago and fell in love with it, and ever since I've wanted an iPhone. Unfortunately there just no way I'm getting one this year. I didn't want a giant phone, but was gutted the top spec camera was only on the max, and I'm disappointed that unlike every other device in my house I can't use USB-C. I convinced myself I could overlook those things, but I absolutely cannot overlook that yellow screen. It just looks horrendous. I can't fathom how this is appealing to anyone.

That said, I'm still checking this thread daily, on the off chance that some magical fix is applied and I can throw some money at Apple.

Would the difference in the attached picture bother you or am I crazy? I know it’s amplified when it’s next to iPhone 11 Pro Max, but my biggest issue with the screen is that the camera and pictures don’t pop at all with this yellow tint. Everything looks so dull and washed out because of the yellow. I’m really starting to think the screens were calibrated this way this year.

My 12 Pro looked like that. It really bothered me, and I returned it.

This is terrible. No way it is "this year calibration". You have a problem with your sceeen, software or hardware related.

I realize that this is bothersome to people, but nothing can or will be done about it. This came up with the X, the XS, the the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. Those threads aren't active anymore not because Apple fixed it, but because people just accepted it and moved on with their lives. That will happen here too.

After some days crazy since i recived my iPhone 12 pro MAX and started with this yellow tint screen nightmare i realized that i have 2 monitores at home, 1 LG and 1 Samsung. I've never noticed it before knowing this iPhone yellow screen issuses.

Since I put them together some time ago I noticed that the Samsung seemed dimmer, but I had never given importance to it or used to notice the difference.

But now I realize that the Samsung is warmer than the LG, and I wonder if this has something to do with what is going on with the iphone screen.

Dang that’s what my 12 pm looks like with TT on. Is that pic like what u see?

I’m waiting for a brand new replacement. While you’re in the returning window you will not receive a white box replacement. It you can ask only 2 time for a replacement while in the returning window, if it would be faulty again you are force to return.

Again, it’s not easy to ask for a brand new replacement.

this year the screen lottery is very harsh, you have to be lucky in:

1) evenness of the display
2 no yellow/green tint
3) no hue spots
4) no green spot while in dark mode

so many no sense work for a brand new super expensive purchase.....

Sorry I see a well calibrated white on my 12 pro max with TR off. Second picture shows how the recording camera adjust on more warmer tint due to the bright TV (LG OLED) light. Believe in me in real live it looks more like in the first picture without TV on.

To be honest the LG TV OLED is went more in blue and looks not so realistically like iPhone 12PM.

pics of the screen? Next to my previous iPhone 11

View attachment 1676796
12 is on the left? You cant really compared against the 11 since it has a lcd which will look much brighter. However, if the 12 is on the left its got a tint. I have the 12 mini and I went to multiple stores and it seems the yellow is within all the batches. Im just gonna return mine until it gets fixed. Too much of a headache trying to figure it out.

Every single 12 PM I've seen so far has had some level of yellow tint on white backgrounds and greys that has a green hue on low brightness.
I've seen a few who swear that their screen has been perfect, but upon closer inspection they also had a some level of tint.
