Unfortunately, I don’t. I retur
Unfortunately, I don’t have any pics comparing my phone to all of the other yellow/green/dull/washed out screens at all the retail locations I’ve been to; however, here are two pics of my 12 Regular with TT AND NS off. Pics were taken with an older iPad Air, of which, doesn’t do much justice. Display is cool, vibrant and whites are white.
Correction.... mistake has been made.... NS is on. Disregard photos.

Even though you took the pic in dark mode to try and hide it, it’s still pretty obvious from the white app icons that your phone has the tint issue.

I use dark mode on my iPhone. I didn’t “try to hide anything”.

I took the pictures when I first got the PM on launch day after I set it up for a size comparison and TT was on at that time.

Thanks to this thread I tried the Accessibility way of messing with the color filters, hue and intensity but then saw about turning off True Tone and whites look white to me now when looking at a white web page on the 11 Pro Max.

In any case, my screen looks just fine to me and if yours is yellow bring it back. You should still be within the return window.

Some more pics/evidence for the collention. Serial starts with G0NDL. Brightness at 50% set by Siri. True Tone and night shift off. 12 pro max to the left, XS max to the right.
more notable with your own eyes with phones next to eachother. Not the worst I’ve seen here but it’s there. The XS max does “feel” like a crisper white
I've got the same serial and issue. Does your device flicker in low light?

Both 256gb iPhone 12 Pro Max. Which one do you think looks better?

The one on the right looks less yellow but the text on both are dull and not sharp like they should be.
Sharpness is due to using my iPad Pro to take the photos. It’s sharp on both. The screen on the silver one is 99.9% perfect. I like the graphite color better but the screen is more yellow, and not nearly as bright as the silver. Probably going to exchange the graphite one hoping for a better panel.

Doesn’t work.

Like some other people in this thread, I grabbed a i1Display Pro and took some white point measurements of my 12 Mini. Didn't have access to fancy Calman software so I used DisplayCal. I'm not an color expert so take my results with a grain of salt.

iPhone XR: 6700-6800K (number bounced back and forth)
iPad Pro 10.5": 6700-6800K
iPhone 12 Mini: 6400K

Expected results, fairly close to what professional reviewers were getting. I can also confirm color tinting does lower your brightness; My 12 Mini went from just over 600 nits to 450 nits with color tinting and night mode applied. It also destroyed color accuracy, we're talking a ΔE of 9 compared to 1 before. I know many people have said this before, but that's a completely unacceptable solution.
Applying a color tint didn't destroy color accuracy for me. Did you actually try to match up your screen to a known good screen when adjusting color tint? And did you set the intensity to the lowest setting?

I purchased an i1Display Pro Plus and ran some tests to measure the effect of applying the color tint I posted earlier in the thread, and here are my results:

Default, no color tint applied, Night Mode off:
  • Max brightness: 825.1 cd/m²
  • Color temp: 6521K
  • Average ΔE: 0.99
  • Max ΔE: 2.03
Color tint applied, Night Mode off:
  • Max brightness: 669.7 cd/m²
  • Color temp: 8203K
  • Average ΔE: 1.17
  • Max ΔE: 3.21
Color tint applied, Night Mode on:
  • Max brightness: 630.8 cd/m²
  • Color temp: 6633K
  • Average ΔE: 1.26
  • Max ΔE: 3.7
As you can see, applying color tint and Night Mode did reduce max brightness quite a bit, but the 12 Pros have such high brightness to begin with that it's not a huge deal. It essentially reduced the brightness to the same as the regular iPhone 12, which have a max brightness of 625 cd/m². Although if you have a regular 12 or 12 Mini, the brightness might be reduced too much.

As for the color accuracy, it was reduced, but it's still very good even with the color tint and night mode applied. This will obviously depend on how you set the color tint slider. If you just blindly set it to something that you think looks good, it might make color accuracy a lot worse. I would recommend trying to match it to a phone or computer with a known good display.

Finally, we can see that it really is necessary to turn on Night Mode to a low setting if you apply a blueish color tint. With just the color tint alone and no Night Mode, the color temp was way too cool at 8203K. But with Night Mode, you could essentially bring it down to whatever you want.

Or, you know, you can keep your standards high and get a display that has accurate colors and isn't 200 nits lower than what you paid for.

I know we're grasping at straws in some sense, but that post is moronic...

I have a replacement on the way. In the meantime I don’t have to look at a green screen. And who knows how many replacements I’ll have to go through and how long it will be before I get a good one.

Sure, I mean that's cool. Let's just not give Apple a pass because we can make our displays usable via a conglomeration of accessibility settings.

I'm on my 3rd 12 Pro Max now. First was very yellow. Second was green. Warmer than last year is fine - but overly green/yellow is not.

Hoping both our replacements are better.

Pictures like this are pointless unless you've manually set your camera's white balance to a specific temperature. Preferably 6500k. Maybe you've done this but you should say.

Sure the one on the right looks better, but how do we know if your camera metered/adjusted for one display's white over the other?

Can someone try to screenshot the yellow display problem?
But remember to transfer to PC or Mac, too see on the bigger/other screen.
Is it yellow on the another screen?

You cannot "screenshot" display issues as a screenshot is taken from the GPU that renders the image directly.
It's like with dead pixels, you cannot do screenshots of them, too, because the GPU does not know there is a problem with the display.

It's like looking for a crinkle on your printed-out document within the file on your PC/Mac ;)

If it is hardware defect, yes.
But if it is software issue, then your statement is not right.
GPU renders yellow collor maybe?

How have you planned to manage this panel lottery? return and re-order? ask for a replacement with a white box (bad idea i thinkg)
