Of course he can perceive it. Apple employees are instructed to behave this way.
I don’t know man. I really think some people can’t really tell unless you lead them on. A co worker of mine also bought a 12 Pro Max and I asked if the screen bothered her and she had a blank stare. Had no idea what I was talking about. I asked if I could see her screen and it was piss yellow. She’s coming from an 8 Plus...

Did you proceed to tell her that her screen was piss yellow? Did you advise her to return it?

I thought I only had the yellow tint. Just discovered, after one month, that I also have raised blacks- greys at low brightness... amazing how many problems this phone has
sometimes blacks are raised and the screen is not turned off while at some other time it works perfectly fine while using the same pic/video.... No consistency at all.
This problem was really hard to discovered given that I have to use it under no light at all while watching specific context

how do you check the raised black greys?

I have a good panel, I just noticed (thank to the forum 🤔) the green glow at the boot and a kind of glow with a 80% grey image at max brightness...while the 11pm doesn’t.

with a normal grey or full black image it’s ok, even at max brightness.

the green glowing at boot doen’t bother me so much, the other thing a bit more, but honestly there will be very few situation in witch I can experimented this.

In both cases, problem-maker is green color. Yellow screen is due to green color, there is no yellow color in RGB balance. If it is overlay hue (tilting device up or down should confirm it) then no SW will fix it (same problem as 11PM)
If it is yellow all the time, whole screen consistent, then it is easy fix.

Apple had so much time to inspect this.
I think if it is software, they will incude fix tomorrow in 14.2.2 or 14.3 beta 3.

You need a fully dark room and some time for your eyes to get used to the darkness..

then search in YouTube for a video showing full black or for a full black picture in google. Load the image and try different brightness levels.

When am at 100% blacks are pure black(that means if I turn off my screen using the lock button there is no change) however when am at 0% brightness I can see the whole screen light up with grey.... very faded grey but it seems more like an lcd than an oled

Same problem with 11 Pro/Max, just go one year back and u will see same thing. If it is the same problem, then no software fix will resolve it.
I bought a 12 pro Max to replace my 11 Pro Max. The display on my 12 Pro Max was yellow, the display on my 11 Pro Max is white. After following all the recommendations here and seeing no change, I sent that Yellow display 12 Pro Max back to Apple. After dwelling on the issue for a couple of days I decided to give Apple a chance to get it right; I ordered another. It'll be here in a couple of weeks. If its display turns out to be yellow I'll send it back and live another year with my current white display iPhone 11 Pro Max. Some people can live with a defect like this. I'm not one of those people.

thank you!
Do you have the green glow as well at boot?

Not always... basically when the phone powers up screen is totally black. Then once user settings or something similar, seem to be loaded screen sometimes turns brighter while some other times it remains totally black...

That’s why it took me one month to even notice... I have another phone I usually used at night

yes, even mine with a full black image/video has a kind of glow that I can clearly see in the pitch black... nothing tremendous but my old IP11 does not show anything similar.
The white’s are almost ok,that’s bother me but I don’t know if I want to change it again...

I was wondering all those members who had their devices returned with the intention of buying iPhone 12 series again in January or later date what if the Yellow tint still exist on your newly purchased iPhones.. What will you do then :D

Yellow tint: I noticed the following on the window with good sunlight yesterday and compared it with an iphone x. The True Tone adjustment changes the color temperature on my 12 Pro Max very quickly and can be seen very well when you go from the sunshine to a room with warmer light. In bright light, however, one has the proof that the OLED of the 12PM can display the white perfect. With the iPhone X, however, the change can hardly be seen. This means that the 12PM would have to convert the signals from the sensor a little weaker via software and should not run into the yellow / warm so strongly.

Image flickering in black: I hope not, but rather believe that this is a hardware error. but if Apple can fix this with sw, that would be really great.

Today I should receive my send 12Pro, the first one was returned because the flickering (green/grey) was much more worst compared to the 12Pro max. In next couple of days I will decide if I will stay with the iPhone 12 pro Max or with the 12 pro.

Same issue with a yellow tint screen on the phone I bought 3 days ago, it especially shows while taking pictures... I went in shop to confirm it, the display phone was perfectly white.
After over an hour on the phone with Apple, they asked me to bring to an authorized repair service nearby. The shop (Icare) managed to tell me that it was normal as every iphone are differents...I wasn't the only coming with this issue today.
In the end, no return or exchange possible.

The yellow display of my Pro Max is really starting to grind on me now. At certain lighting conditions it does seems to be perfectly white but most times not. I really hope it is software related but not sure i can be bothered waiting. What with the yellow screenthat and the camera focus issue the 11 Pro sitting I my desk is currently the better phone!

I think it is absolutely software, you just have to do the test in a window very clearly and activate the TT, it is clear how the screen clears and becomes totally white and bright.

This shows with total veracity that in an update it could be solved if they adjust some type of parameter that allows adjusting the brightness of the screen.

Lets hope it is SW.

I think the black flickering is a software glitch as well. Probably they will address this with the new upgrade, but I’m pretty sure they’ll do anything for the yellow tint.

Because they do not recognize it as a problem.

Tried that, second one was pretty much the same. :(

Well I suppose I’m sending my 12PM back within the next few weeks if it does turn out they’re not changing anything via software and then sticking with my 8 Plus for yet another year. That thing is a beast (and has an accurate screen to boot).
