It seems to look fine in this pic of yours from another thread.

I know i've asked this question a couple times in this thread because in person my 12 looks piss yellow but taking a photo it looks snow white. I don't know why this is happening.

This thread is for people who believe the yellow screens look like 💩 and are hoping for a fix. None of us truly knows what is behind it. If you are a "professional" who "knows" and think this is normal: Congratulations, please enjoy your device and leave the amateurs, who believe this is an issue, continue to push this further.

If you have seen or replaced X number of units and all are the same (yellow and 💩) and are now convinced that this is normal and intentional because Apple can do no wrong: Great, enjoy your device.

Unfortunately this is part of the reason why Apple will not correct this, they have way too many people doing free PR work for them.

To those who are unhappy with the screens, continue getting replacements until you get a good screen, or just return it for good. Do not settle!

This is why I order multiple devices. So I can pick the best screen. 4 of them on the way for the wife and I. She doesn’t care, so I’ll pick between 3 of them.

This problem has been going on since 4s. I settled for a “yellow” 5s. Loved the phone hated the screen the whole 2 years I had it.

if Apple wants to charge $1000 for the phone and say the screen is amazing, then they should follow thru on it.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

My wife is the same, when she got her XS, I noticed a slight yellow hue but she did not care. Funny thing is that now her XS has the best screen when compared to my current 11 Pro and the 12 Pro that I returned.

Here is what I found the most interesting from anandtech's review:

"The white balance for whites actually is a tad warmer than it should be with some clearly higher-than-average levels of red. Although the total average white balance over all levels lands in at an excellent 6502K, actual whites land in at 6372K."

It may very well be that all of us who are displeased with these displays are very sensitive to these variations.

After figuring my second ip12 pm has yellow screen and <90% brightness flickering issues a few days ago, today I found out my phone's recording does weird flickering too :(

Wondering should I buy a third phone from apple online store and refund the second one, or just refund it and wait until Jan... Never had so many issues with an iphone puchase, sigh.

My advice would be to wait, if you can, until January or February at a minimum.

All set up now. Few pics for reference and yes good panels exists.

congratulations.

you selected yourself a stupidly blue panel that only looks moderately color correct if True Tone is on.

lmfao

iPhone X left, iPhone 12 pro max right. Nothing much to say...

of the 139 pages in this thread, there are probably less than ~5 panels posted that warrant a return.

and more than half of them are because the panels look pink.
Add 4 more, as the 4 different panels i checked were the exact same than this one posted above.

Yeah, that would be an instant return from me.
I ordered another one. Will receive it soon, from December 10th and will compare again. If is the same, would be the 5th I tested. All the same yellowing. Will definitely return them if still as yellow.

As loyal Apple customers we all deserve screens that are properly calibrated Lookin at my screen it looks like an Apple knock-off it’s disgraceful
And if this is a mistake it’s time for Apple to acknowledge it or say this yellow tint is the intended color. Apple saying’ they are aware of it’ doesn’t mean anything

At the Apple store, I was told that the yellow screen is intentional.

as expected,

acceptable.

the screen on the right is as yellow as the screen on the left is blue.

You can't see the actual color because of the influence of the camera or the your display
What you can see here is that there is a difference.

can't win with some of you guys.

this entire thread is basically

"well I bought an iPhone"

"I returned it"

I bought another one

"I returned it again"

its ****ing stupid

its very clear rn that the iphone12s skew yellow and True Tone is more aggressive than in the past. 9.5/10 screens posted here do not appear egregious to warrant a return or exchange. that's a fact.
