Huge issue, huh? You do realize that you returned the iPhone 4 times in a row and saw the same thing every time while at least 10 million+ other people do not see what you see? When I read the yellow screen thread every year started by a few select people, I can’t help but chuckle.

Could be a huge problem for people in same region by example. If all the regional iphone stock is corrupt by yellow screen. You can exchange-it 10 times, you will get 10 crappy screens..

I don't know if this has to do with the screen, but mine also has a yellow tint. Today in a slightly dark room but with some light through the curtains I took a picture of a black suitcase and the suitcase in the picture turns purple. I tried on black pants just like the pants looked purple. If you turn on the lights, the blacks are already black. What could this be?

You do realize most people don’t bother comparing to another device and are simply ignorant that there’s an issue with their phone right? You do realize that, no?? You should. It’s a basic concept.

I’m in the US and know 3 different people with 12/12pm models, all of which have yellowing

I’m in Europe. All my iPhones were sent from Italy.

I'm in France and my two mini's were send from Netherlands "SYNCREON" warehouse, both yellow tinted... So I returned-it and get the iPhone 12 classic, hope the screen will be better.

I definitely could live with a warmer screen. However my screens on 4!!! different iPhone 12 minis were green mixed with yellow and you know whats the outcome if you mix both? You get puke and I don't know about you but I don't think Apple intended for me to stare at puke every time I turn on my phone. And that has definitely something to do with hardware, the screen itself. If you view the screen off axis the screen gets greener. And green is not natural or does look good in any way on a screen.

Therefore I settled with the 11 pro.

I often get the feeling that some folks in this thread are a part of the woke yellow screen society. 😆

I don’t expect anyone here to remember it, except for the OP in the thread, but I’ve never seen one in person with a yellow screen issue and in a previous year, I carefully measured several iPhone displays with a very high-end spectrometer used in a broadcast production house. No discrepancies were found and in fact, the iPhones evaluated were flat-out superb in terms of color accuracy and white balance consistency. But in all fairness, my very small sample size is by no means an indication of the overall display health of a fleet that is measured each year in hundreds of millions of units. At the end of the day, respectfully, I don’t subscribe to the idea that “every iPhone is yellow and people just don’t realize it”. I live in the world of color accuracy and I’m just not buying it.

You might be part of apple defenders movement. Order and measure some 12s and then we talk again. And also compare with other year apple devices. Specially with True Tone on.

after this 14.4 I realized that for this year it will be like this and there is nothing to do but wait for the new iphone in 2021 or change the brand .. I keep it but I would have expected an official release from apple on this color calibration .. I am disappointed

This is why they don’t do anything because people keep them anyway - they don’t care. They’ll only care when sales drop.

There are good screens out there, my Week 47 iPhone 12MP is one of them. Perfect whites, for raised blacks, flickering or green/pink tints - also no gaps but did take me 5 attempts.

I cannot change it because I ha e been stupid and in order to have it immediately I bought it in a local store and not in the apple store .. I cannot replace it because in the apple store they do not consider it a hardware problem

Have a similar problem but instead of local store I bought it from a huge provider... did you try Apple care +?

I don't have apple care + .. but with apple care is it possible to have your device changed to another? and above all how much would it cost? because if they don't recognize it as a problem, I don't think they'll change it for free

So you haven't tested any 12s? Because the whole point is that the 12 series are yellowish / greenish compared to previous iPhones.

Why does turning off True Tone give the display a warmer appearance during the daytime? Shouldn’t it be the opposite?

Need advice. I have True Tone and auto brightness off. However, when I turn on TT, the screen appears whiter during the day than with it off and warmer at night with it off. I’d this how it’s supposed to work?
