Yellowish like all the 12 series I’ve seen in person. Pretty uniform to my eyes.
Thank you! At least the screen is uniform...I don’t even notice the screen being “yellow.” Probably best to just let it go because it’s a lottery...could get a worse looking yellow tint with a new one I get?

If you don’t notice keep it! Things can always be worse. Enjoy it as is a great phone after all.

I got an iPhone 12 day 1 from work and it’s perfect. All corners the same shade, minimal blue tint shift, True Tone spot on, no red green excessive tint

unfortunately since it’s a work phone I can’t use it as my main driver
Can't you just switch sims? only issue would be Applecare.

Honestly if you keep True Tone turned on, do you even notice the yellow tint? True Tone makes the screen yellower anyway correct?

Not sure if this is a coincidence but I also have an iPhone 12 Pro and a regular 12 on hands. With trutone off on both phones, the pro seems to have warmer color than the 12 at max brightness and especially when viewing white contents. The pro screen is brighter but only slightly, nowhere near 175 nits extra. From Anandtech's review, they stated that for their unit, the 12 had a more color-accurate display compared to the pro and I can attest to this in my case

Can I just check, does the raised black issue manifest itself as green-tinted greys which should otherwise be a dark neutral grey? I’ve got the same website open on my iPad Pro (2019) and iPhone 12 Pro, both with Night Shift enabled - on the iPad the background is a dark warmish grey (warm because of NS), but on the iPhone it’s a very noticeable mid green - it’s like looking at two different websites! 😡

Do the 12 Pros with ‘perfect white’ screens also display dark grey tones correctly too, without the green colouraton?

Thanks 👍🏻

I thought the raised blacks was when you are displaying a black photo or video, where the pixels should be turned off on an OLED display, and instead you can see some light/ dark grey rather than black, when on low brightness.

Ah right thanks for the clarification. I don’t believe my screen has that issue, as if I enable reader view on a website and enable dark mode (so the background behind the text is pure black), by zooming into an area where there’s no text the screen is completely black, even with the display on full brightness. However, if I do the same thing with the screen on minimum brightness, I can notice a very slight hint of light coming from the screen ... but it’s extremely faint.

That aside, everything definitely has a greenish tint at very low brightness levels - to the point where the screen almost looks monkchromatic ... but with faint green instead of white! 😤

On mine even at the lowest brightness I can’t see any light. I believe that’s the expected behaviour.

I keep asking this question and getting ignored
I lost my iPhone pro max which I did not have insurance so I have to fork out for a new phone...

Is it best to get the 11 pro max again or take the risk with the 12 pro max?

The chances of getting a good 11 Pro Max are better than getting a good 12 Pro Max right now. People exchanging their phones or buying for first time are still mostly getting a 12 Pro Max with issues (yellow or green tint on screen, uneven screen, raised blacks) and no fix or response from Apple. Still, if you can return your phone for exchange or refund within 14 days why not take a chance on the 12. It's a great phone otherwise and you may get lucky. It also depends on your tolerance. A warm screen does not seem to be noticeable or seem to bother many and if you aren't watching videos in low light at night, the raised blacks may not be a big issue either. Good luck with your decision.
