You can see it here, the one with yellow case is my grilfriend iPhone 12 and the one of the blue case is mine.
Here's another one I just took if it helps at all. Checked the screen serial for what that's worth, it is G9N.

pardon man, what are you referring too? That’s the exact description of my panel. Slightly pink tinge with tt off and cf off.

better if compared to my second unit that does not have that tinge.

the tinge provide also a deeper / reddish dark in the grey menu, instead of dull dark of the other panel.
I was trying to quote this post further up.

Download Plex dash app and enter the app without login and see if there is any green tint on edges or notch.
Off to the dark cupboard I go 🤣😅The whole thing looks slightly greenish but no I’m unevenness Pic don't show it.

Last pic 40% brightness and not taken in dark cupboard 🤣
The green tint can be easily detected on YouTube app dark mode. Especially in comments.

Here is my latest 12 Pro Max with a serial starting with G0. Week 51. Looks perfect in real life. I can't take a good photo of a dark gray background in a dark room that will turn out properly, but there is no green tint that I can see.

Hi, what about the yellow tint? Does white look white? If so, I imagine that True Tone is not too aggressive, is it?

I ask because a few days ago another user got a decent week 51. I am wondering if Apple finally improoved quality controls after week 51.

See my photo from my previous post. Mine isn’t yellow tinted.

We’ve just either turned off true tone or used color filter to compensate for the deep aggressive yellow tones when ambient temp is low using True Tone. Basically they’re all yellow as snot and that’s they way they are.

not only its yellowish, the brightness also not as good as well, I compare to my friend's X, my iphone 12 pro around 80% brightness = X 45% brightness....

Thanks. All three previous unlocked ones for me were G0ND serial with build dates of 12/26 and 12/06 . The one coming tomorrow, and this time I ordered T-Mobile version from Apple is F2LD.
I have G0ND, received at 15/01 is more yellow than before i haved returned back for a scratch out of box, but is more brighter, I don’t what I should doing:
Keep it.
Back and ordering another but this time no Pro Max but 12 normal.
Waiting iPhone 13
My XMas is so perfect, white white, not white yellow

I feel your pain. One of mine was badly scratched on the rim above the lightening port. So much so that the area of the rim wasn’t even smooth. My current one has less green tint or no green tint some would say, so I’m keeping it. It also has a fine hairline scratch on the top frame when light catches it as well as a slight shadow on the top corner. Almost like a wear mark. The screen is acceptable without True Tone on for me so I’m not going to keep returning and buying another. Since there appears to be more than one variable that I’d be trying to remedy.

try turning off auto brightness on both phones and compare again

Actually you need to perform the following trick:

-Keep auto brightness on, set brightness slider to max.
-Shine a bright light above the light sensors, preferably an LED light
-You will notice that even though you had your brightness slider at max, the phone brightness will increase even further.
-While the light is still shining above the sensors, go to Accessibility Settings and disable the auto brightness.

Now you will have your screen brightness at true 100% when the auto brightness is off, vs when its on, even if your slider would be all the way up, the brightness would still be at around 75-80%. This basically "unlocks" the full brightness range. You can then adjust it manually when needed.

I guess Apple introduced this logic to auto brightness to prevent screen burn-in in the long run. However, without this trick performed, my 12 Pro Max seemed to be much dimmer compared to my previous iPhone X as cross93 mentioned. To note, with my iPhone X, even with auto brightness on, a full brightness slider meant 100% brightness.

Iphone 12 pro with true tone off and automatic brightness off. what do you think?
I took the photos in the dark and with light. The last photo in which the screen appears totally green is with 0% brightness, the others are 100%.

Just turning AB off has the same effect..you just have to wait a few seconds

Now that’s one trick I don’t want to unlock. 😂

WTF was apple thinking, how is it acceptable to release a phone where grey colours look yellow/green. 🤦‍♂️

I bet you any money that Apple is already looking at other suppliers for oled panels. Meaning not to ever use Samsung panels again as punishment in future models.
Samsung are dirty sneaky organization with little to no values. Karma got them once with their Ill feted Note 7 , I’m sure another is due soon.

Just got my 12 Pro Max. Out of the box the colors were shockingly bad. Finished initial setup--turns out True Tone was on by default. Turned that off, it got much better, but still: the display is noticeably yellow/green (mostly yellow) compared to my iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Pro (and my Macbook Pro, and my TV, and my work monitor, and....).

This happened to me when I bought the first Retina iPad right when it came out. Back then, I just went down to the Apple Store and exchanged it. They let me open 3 more iPads until I got a perfect one. Used that thing until I got my iPad Pro just a few months ago!

Because all Apple Stores are closed, I contacted Apple Support. They told me to bring it to Best Buy. Has anyone tried that yet? My next day off is Friday so I'll give it a shot and report back.

The whole "sloppy QC" seems like a good explanation for me. Mine is actually just bad enough where I feel like the average person might not even notice there is a problem with the screen. Trouble is, I'm a photographer and messing with white balance is my life, so the screen being a little off--especially compared to all the other Apple stuff I own--is a big deal for me.
