Is the control panel section your on sticky? Meaning, if I use the music control panel and then slide it down to use some other apps, when I slide the control panel back up again, will it still be on music?

That is the only way I can really see having a separate music control panel not be an incredible inconvenience.

Can anyone expand on how Raise to Wake works? and how it responds to when phone is being carried in purse or pocket? Just curious if the screen is going on all the time, and if it can tell when you take it out of a purse to look at vs the obvious raising it from laying flat on a table...

Is there an option to hide the carrier name from the status bar all the time now? I saw a video yesterday that looked like it (can't find it now). Not referring to the new Back arrow in the status bar that shows cellular and wi-fi reception without the carrier.

Not that I know of as mine still shows it however if you use QuickTime screen recording of an iOS device on macOS it hides the carrier name.

What do all-day calendar events look like in the Notification Center?

What does the Home app look like? Screenshots please, if not too much to ask!

What happens when you remove an app that has a launcher in Control Center?

What's this please? Did I miss something in the Keynote?

Sorry I don't have any HomeKit items yet, thinking of upgrading the 1st gen Hue bridge.

Can you block unkown calls? Calls where you can't see the callers number it just says unknown on the display

With the new lock screen notifications, will an alarm be shown? The time when it is supposed to go off?

Anyone has a Carplay enabled car and an iPhone with iOS10 beta on it? I was just wondering if the new instrument cluster related features are working now? I think that a software update for our car's infotainment system might be required -> that means that we might never see any of new features at all :/

I'm reading a bunch of contradictory info on the unlocking of the iPhone with the new lock screen.
Before, on the 6s, you could wake the screen and simultaneously unlock by pressing the home button once, no need to lift your finger. I like this quick action to unlock.
Has this changed in beta 1? Should you press the home button once to wake the device, lift your finger and tap the home button again to unlock?
Unfortunately it's the latter. I have a 6s Plus and not too happy to have the blazing fast unlock removed. Yes, you have to actually press the button to unlock.

No...it remains the same as IOS9.

But bonus info....the clock app is completely in dark mode

Is it imperative to install the latest SDK beta on the Mac used to install the iOS 10 beta?

Thanks, but do you have to press it twice? So if your iPhone is on the table, locked and display off, can you place your finger on the Touch ID sensor, press, and unlock? Or do you have to lift your finger once and press for a second time?
1. if the phone is on the table and you lift it, the screen wakes up (on 6s/6s plus...don't know about the others). Now if you place the finger on the Touch ID sensor, nothing happens. It flashes 'press home to open' and you have to press the button
2. if the phone is on the table (and screen off) and you don't lift it, you place the finger on the sensor and press...it unlocks. This behaviour is same as before

Hope this helps. I'd make a quick video...but just too lazy :)

I don't see any capability for that. I believe when apps like Truecaller utilise the phone SDK to extend their functionality to the native phone app, you might get more information about the caller than just 'unknown' (based on the data from Truecaller and such).

Is there any functionality in the Photos app to view additional information of the pictures (Date, Time, Comments, EXIF...)?
Yes and No. There is a 'Details' link at the top right. Clicking on that shows you information on the place where it was clicked, a location on map, link for nearby photos and some related photos (based on people in the specific photo, I suppose). Date and Time are available already. No comments, EXIF, etc

Yes, it's sticky.

Do stock apps really get deleted or they're just hidden from the home screen?

From what I understand, it's information is deleted off of the device.

It works just like it does on iOS 9. If I wake my iPhone up using the home button with the finger I use for touchID, it unlocks automatically like on the 6s with iOS 9.
