@AidenShaw: where is your nMP setup? I probably missed that.

There will be, in the coming months/years, a whole raft of PCs which are tube shaped and have lights. Just as the iMac, iPod etc had its imitators.
There is a sense of security and satisfaction with something well designed and sometimes one has to pay a premium.
A Rolls Royce doesn't have to have wood paneling and leather seats for functionality.

Just got my new 6-core Mac Pro from Amazon (where they are actually in stock). Swapped out the stock RAM for 64GB.

Lets get back on topic folks. If you don't want to show off your nMP setups, then move on, this is not the thread to criticize the nMP

Here's my nMP setup

I have to admit, the triple monitor stand isn't quite as ideal as I imagined before setting it up. The top display forces me to tilt my neck back and look slightly upward at it, which leads me not to put anything on that screen that I'm working with very often.

I guess it might all work better if I lowered all of the displays to where the bottom pair touch the desk itself? But that would seem to defeat part of the purpose of putting the displays on this type of stand in the first place ... freeing up some more usable desk space.

The box to the left of the nMP in the photo is a DATOptic eBox TeSU, connected via Thunderbolt and running hardware RAID 5 with 5 2TB Hitachi SATA drives.

I built a stand for my nMP using 5 oak boards. The footprint is 20 cm x 20 cm. I put the Apple DVD drive underneath the nMP.

Current setup for the new computer. I have a 27'' LG LED monitor w/ monitor arm i need to install soon. I'm waiting on a bolt through mount for the Humanscale M8 monitor arm i have for the Thunderbolt display. Once i get that mount in, i'll drill holes for both arms and my desk will be done.

Lovely setup, but where do you have your audio monitors?

I have envy (good envy) for your SSL Nucleus Mixer ;)

Cheers

thx.

Ive got a pair of Neumann KH120 actives on the side, they are not on the pic because I zoomed in on the Mac + daw controllers

My nMP arrives next week and looking at this thread is making that wait excruciating. Some of you guys guys have such killer setups.

Now I'm wondering if I should grab a TB display or hold out still (the voice in the back of my head wondering if Apple will announce a new one as soon as I buy an old one).

Very nice. List of controllers? Notably the main three (large black and two silver to the side).

From left to right I can identify this:

- Novation Remote Zero SL USB controller
- SSL Nucleus DAW controler (my fav toy from this picture)
- Nano Patch - Passive Stereo controler
- Mackie MCU XT Pro
- Arturia Beatstep
- Novation Launchpad

2 Apple cinema displays, 1 Mac pro :)

I must say folks, i'm following this thread with great excitement as im reasonably close (~4-5months) to ordering one of these bad boys as part of my very extensively researched big upgrade project. some amazing gear porn setups here, keep them coming. :D

Just received the Mac Pro on Tuesday. 4C/16GB/256GB/D300. Also bought the Apple Thunderbolt Display. The keyboard and trackpad are new and when the batteries are depleted, I will swap them with Apple's rechargeable batteries. Yes, that is a piece of paper underneath to protect against scratches.

For some unknown reason, the picture is upside down. I did not take it that way and it shows right side up on my iPhone 5.

My gaming PC is on the left on an identical table. It's literally green with envy since I'm using all Razer gear with that (Kraken 7.1, 2014 BlackWidow Ultimate, 2013 DeathAdder).
