I am getting this very same error Matt...
Using a PowerBook Firewire 800 1.25Ghz with 2G of memory and 10.4.11
iPhone was 1.1.1 OTB now upgraded to 1.1.3

I get this error and then the iphone goes into restore mode with the iTunes icon and the USB connector

Tried it three times now...:(

I got this same error Arix...the ony time I have ever seen it is with this ijailbreak program today...do you have any idea how to correct the faulty libsystem.B.dylb?

This was by far the most satisfying Jailbreak that I have performed (Early Adopter having Jailbroken more than 20 different ways since August)
 
So I have a jailbroken 1.1.2, NOT unlocked, on a non-iPhone AT&T Contract.

What do I need to do to jailbreak and activate this on 1.1.3? By the way, it started as a 1.0.2 phone way back when, but I doubt that matters.

Simply upgrade to 1.1.3, reboot, and then run iJailBreak. Press the 'jailbreak' button when prompted. That SHOULD work, however I'm on a non-iPhone AT&T plan as well and that didn't work for me (the jailbreak worked, but I couldn't make calls). If it doesn't work for you, simply run iJailBreak a second time and choose the unlock button that time.

Has anyone tried this on a PowerPC mac? I have a iBook G4 OSX 10.5.2 and my iPhone should be here any day now. I am wondering if this works on my mac. Are the people getting these same errors using Intel amc or PowerPC mac?
 
for everyone who is getting the error below i just read over at http://iclarified.com/entry/comments.php?enid=664#commentsanchor ... that this error is bc we are trying to run it on 10.4 and we need to be running it on 10.5+. if you scroll down to cyphunk's comment you can read it

I have a otb 1.1.2 now updated to 1.1.3

I want to jailbreak, but I am a little confused.

Can I just use Ziphone with my current settings and jailbreak my phone?
I have an AT&T plan. Using this to Jailbreak won't affect that will it?

Also what does the baseband and BL have to be. (what I'm really asking is what are those?)

So this is for Leopard only? that's weird...

and follow it to the t. I have been trying all day to do this with both mac and pc and have had no luck until now. I got in contact with ert3 and he advised me to run -a -j -u even tho ii am an att customer and realy have no use for unlock . I was running just -j before and it would complete but it would not have installer app on my iphone . So i folled the instruction in the above post and this time i ran it as -a -j -u and everything worked out great. I have installer app and all. if anyone has any questions ab this feel free to contact me via aim at brandon2313 and i will do my best to help.!

That is good to know...thanks for posting it ;)
I am going to wait and see if the GUI version works this out or just wait for the SDK next week...
 
Updating from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 via the new method

I have a jailbroken iphone 1.1.2 (originally 1.0.2) and I would like to update it to 1.1.3 but before that i want to restore it before doing soo

So what shall I do???
restore to 1.1.2 via iTunes?
then update it to 1.1.3 Via Itunes?
or shall I use this new method?
can you guide me in steps plzzzz

So just to be absolutely positively sure, I can jsut take my 1.1.3 freshly restored iphone and just download and use ijailbreak 0.5.1 and then everything will be ok? I just wanna make sure I don't have to downgrade.
 
well I did this on my intel 10.5 laptop and worked perfectly, took me 3 minutes. I tried it on my G5 imac ppc at 10.4 and it did not work, I dont know why,(I got same error as everyone else, the whole code thing)but this works perfectly. Now the only thing weird is that refreshing sources take a while.:/
 
recant original statement. or modify. the jailbreak program seems to work great, but i'm having both youtube issues and issues with voicemail. i guess this is not arix's fault, but zibree. not fun.
 
Can anyone clarify what needs to be done to upgrade if I'm on a 1.1.1 phone - I assume with 3.9 BL (unlocked and using in Australia).
 
I suppose my excitement was premature. I was unable to hear phone calls with or without headphones. iPod functionality indicated playing but stayed at 0 seconds and no sound.

My speakerphone indicator in call would flash on/off and call would fail with full bars and activation on AT&T.

edit: Restored to 1.1.3 then used 0.5.1 and works brilliantly!
