Whether I restore and then jailbreak and THEN unlock or if I just restore and then unlock, I still don't get any signal. It just says "searching...." then no bars.

Suggestions?

edit: This was NOT 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 OTB. It's much older than that. What do I need to do to get it working?
 
didn't work the first time, re-downloaded program, worked great but no youtube

First off congrats and thanks to arix for pumping out such an easy to use jailbreak method. I upgraded to 1.1.3 from a jailbroken 1.1.2 phone for the new features and I'm glad to have the freedom to jailbreak back.

The first time I downloaded iJailbreak it didnt work, got a weird error. I should have taken a screenshot but I was too frustrated to think about it. Sorry. I deleted the program, downloaded a new copy and it worked the first time out. Everything seems to work EXCEPT YouTube. This isn't a dealbreaker for me, but it is a little frustrating. Anybody else having this issue? Should I restore and start over? Can I fix this from within Installer 3.0? Thanks again arix, great work.

this is exactly what the computer tells runnin ziphone on mac either by terminal, as well as by ijailbrake

on windows it just never finishes the process


my system is a macbook 2 gb mac osx 10.4.11

Sorry to repeat any already posted questions, but I really do need an answer as to whether this method will work on my currently unlocked iPhone, to curtail any fear in using this method.

I purchased a 1.1.1 (3A109a) already unlocked iPhone on eBay about 4 months ago. The phone was originally purchased by the seller in Florida on 26 October, 2007 and has modem firmware which is 04.01.13_G, and the serial number is ***41Y5A***. I assume that he bought it with 1.1.1 already installed.

Will this method work for me, as I assume I have a 3.9BL? Like I said the phone is currently unlocked (and working on Orange in the UK) and is jailbroken. Ideally I'd like to be able to have 1.1.3 installed and obviously maintain the unlock and jailbroken status.

I think this should be made sticky... I had purchased iphone with 1.1.2 Firmware already loaded... This software worked great it not only jailbreak mine phone but also unlocked it so that i can use any sim. Thanks whoever made this possible... Mine Donations are on ... way... When you 399 phone and get unlocked for free... i guess developers who develop this software needs at least some kind of donation... Guys donate something.. for you couple of bucks won't make difference.. but its better way to say Thankyou..

freeze during processing

hi guys need some help

1.0.2 iPhone
revirginized with i.unlock.no
updated to 1.1.3 with iTunes 7.5

now attempting to unlocking with ziphone:

all is perfect, but it stall after telling "Please Wait 2.30 "

still working but the phone does not respond...


any suggest?

I'm in the same boat as you except mine is a week 42 phone. I really want to use 1.1.3 but remain unlocked to use Vodafone UK.

Anybody know?
 
Confirmed unlock on UK iPhone 1.1.2 out of the box restore in itunes to 1.1.3, the best jailbreak I've ever witnessed..
 
I have otb 1.1.2 updated to 1.1.3 have not done a jailbreak or unlock. I have at&t and want to stay with them.

Has anyone used this to jailbreak their phone with the same setup? If so what problems are you running into?

using a mac. Thanks.
 
What are the downsides of doing this? I kinda want to try the jailbreak, but will definitely want to resent to factory once the SDKs come out. Does this have any effect on my at&t contract?

It doesn't effect your AT&T contract, but if something happens to the phone while it is jailbroken and you take it to Apple they won't do anything with it.

you can always restore your iphone and then apple wont know about the jailbreak and will assist you with any issues you are having.
 
For people who have done this what apps from installer are working and what apps aren't?

I am thinking about doing this for the NES games and for summerboard. Are these apps working?
 
29 hours with Jailbroken 1.1.3 - I am very pleased with the accuracy of Google Maps and Webclips!

iFlix - Netflix Manager is broken
Summerboard - Requires ssh into new directory to 'see' themes (simple procedure)
Customize - Broken (not 'really' needed anymore)

Annoyed that I have to use POOF to get rid of YouTube and iTMS icons

That is one of the reasons I wanted to jailbreak. Is there an easy way for computer illiterate people to fix this?

can you explain what you have to do to get summerboard to work?
