iMessage user sign on/off sound

I have iMessage configured for Facebook Chat , Google Chat , AIM , and iMessage. How do you turn off the sound that notifies you when a user signs on / off ? I saw it mentioned earlier that someone had fixed it, but I did not see how. I am liking this so far.

The other issue. When I right click to share It comes up with twitter , flickr, Drop Box, and a few others .. Email is not there.

If you go to System Preferences > Users & Groups and click your picture, you'll see four tabs: Defaults, Recents, Faces and Camera.
On the Faces tab you'll see your faces from iPhoto in reverse chronological order.

Note that this only works if you have your own "face" album in iPhoto and have associated it with your "me" contact card.

How do you do this ?

In iPhoto, go to Faces in the sidebar, find the album with your face and type your name there.
In Contacts, choose a card or create a new one, type in the same name as in iPhoto and then select Card > Make this My Card.

By the way, I just found it works not only in System Preferences, but in Contacts too when changing the picture of a person.

Ok, better question. Do you know where those new ML wallpapers are located on the HDD? I want to add a few of them to my already existing wallpaper folder.

Yes they are here:

/Library/Desktop Pictures

(The top level Library, not the user library)

They added a cool feature in ML :) When downloading from the App Store you can now see the download progress (eg. 155 MB of 600 MB) along with the bar, rather than just the bar. :)

Same here. Worked in Lion, but not in ML...any news on that?

Same for me: no Faces tab at all, either in contacts or System Preferences. This is after a clean install and copy over of my iPhoto library etc. from backup and install of latest iPhoto version from the App Store. Guess it's time to file a bug report.

But you can't see the size before you download, which is a bummer now that system updates are in there.

----------

Not only is "Save As" back, but they decided to let it be visible in the menus as well.

How do you do the visual tabs in safari ?

In the Apple keynote, if you kept zooming out in Safari, it revealed a "visual" history you could scroll left/Right, kind of like cover flow.

But i can't get this to work in Safari 6.0 with Mountain Lion.

Maybe future update?

Your probably thinking about tab view or whatever its called. Open a few different tabs, then do the pinch gesture if you have a magic trackpad, or hit the button that appears on the far right of the tab bar and this will happen.

Pinch in on your trackpad with two fingers, or click the button on the tab bar to the right of the new tab plus sign. Both will bring you into the visual tab view.

I haven't checked the whole thread, but anyone else notice the new battery indicator shows percentage on left instead of right? Could be a change for sake for change thing I guess.

And showing battery time remaining isn't even an option anymore.

I like the click and hold options in lion, the already mentioned bookmarks rename. I also noticed this behavior in system prefs when you hold on show all button.

Anyone else finding the logged in user's name up in the menu bar as annoying?I know who I am, I don't need my computer reminding me, lol.

I'm very confused why apple is pushing user switching in ML..this was such a big deal in panther and kinda unspoken since then. Now I installed ML and noticed it defaulted on.....and I'm the only user!
