ML did the same on various machines here. I've seen articles on the internet mention the same. When starting X11 it will give you a similar dialog as the Java one. It's how I install Xquartz. They probably did it for legacy purposes (people who expect to see X11 in that location for example).

Well i did clean install so maybe that's it.

Anyone experienced problem with mail app.

I have 2 gmail accounts, one is working good, the other one, when i open mail, it shows no subject, no sender and is empty (no content).

Even if i re-added it , still the same problem. If you got the fix for this , please let me know. :(

This thread is for new changes in the OS, not bugs.

Does anyone know where that App (Juice Meter, I think it was) that they used in the WWDC is? Or is it simply an in-house app unavailable to the public?

Thanks

There's no ram-usage in the dock anymore, because ram-usage doesn't say anything anymore in Mavericks. They completely revamped memory-management system following a new philosophy. While previously they try to always have a much memory free as possible to prevent swapping. Now they load as much cache into the memory as possible and compress when needed. This will make the system much, much faster because it doesn't need to read everything from the disk at launch time. Now any unused memory is wasted memory.

In Mavericks, don't mind memory usage. Mind memory pressure and swap-file usage instead!
This is true, and you're right. It's good to see my memory actually (basically) being 100% used. I'd still like some sort of feedback from Activity Monitor on my dock for memory pressure though...

Have they changed Messages in the DP? In ML the status bar icon would allow me to choose my status and see who's online (Facebook Chat), not it only says 'New Message'.

Okay I'm sorry, but I'm downloading DP5 right now. :3

The iBooks icon looks like it's wearing too much fake tan.

Actually, File > Add To Library allows me to see all my PDF documents just fine...

DP5 is so much faster. Loads of the under the hood changes it seems.

Does anyone know where the new login screen/notification center background and the silver Apple are located in mavericks? I looked where the linen images normally are in ml and I didn't see anything. I'm trying to use them on my ml install.
