I'm not going to read through all 6 pages but I'm happy that they finally offered an option to turn off the second SMS alert.

It was so annoying to get that second alert when I heard it the first time. I'd have to go and check because it sounded like I got a second message. If anything, they should have a "reminder alert sound that is different than that of receiving a message.

iPhone 3.0 fixes this: it allows you to turn off that second alert. :)

its on here someone... im happy thats there too

Slide to call back

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or if this is old.

that is photoshoped

My iPhone was jailbroken with the percentage battery icon plist enabled.

When I went back to unbroken 2.2.1, and restored settinfgs from iTunes, percentage icon remained!

I am now on 3.0 GM and I have percentage AND battery icon.

I thought this was just the standard 3.0 thing?

You can see I changed O2-UK for my handle roostaar too!

PS I DO NOT OWN PHOTOSHOP! ;)

it does not work for me or anyone else unless you have jailbroke and enabled that in the past

Nice list, however, this isn't a new feature, it has been around since at least 2.0.

"you can now chose which email address to send an email from no matter which account you're under. when you tap the "From" field a menu pops up asking you which address you want the email to be sent from"

Edit contact info from Messages

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier but you can now edit contact info from Messages app.

Previously, you could view info from SMS/email etc but only edit contact info from within Contacts app.

:)

no i mean i did install 3.0, and my stock app is GONE. I have no stock app in 3.0....anyone else??

Did you jailbreak previously and hide the Stock app?

I 'hid' loads of icons with 'Categories' app (Crap) then restored iphone without unhiding them.

Trick is this;

Go to Settings/General/Restrictions

Enable Restrictions

Enter Passcode etc

Then, Disable restrictions

Enter Passcode etc.

All hidden apps will return!

:)

Hey, us girls can have fun juggling guys around too! :p
You brought up a good point though. I know that we will be able to delete individual text messages without deleting the whole conversation, but I'm not sure if we can delete a single call. If anyone reading this has 3.0, please let us know. thnx.

LOL :)

That is a real shame! It's so much better to know the exact percentage of battery left. The icon is useless!

yea. i'm waiting for a 3.0 jailbreak so i can jailbreak, get the percentage then go back to official.

I got one, hope it hasn't been mentioned already. Is this new?

In the Contacts application there is a "back button" labeled "Groups", click it and you'll go to a screen where your contacts are broken down. I have one group from my work Exchange server, clicking it will bring up a search screen that allows me to search my Exchange contacts. The other group is "From my Mac" which has my regular contacts.

If you're in an application and you get interrupted by a phone call, you will be returned to the application you were in at the end of the call.

New?

with 3.0 I really don't see the reason to jailbrake... but hey

i'm just going to jailbreak to get the battery percentage and to change my "iPod" string. i'm not staying jailbroken. i've done this before to get emoji (before all of the apps to enable emoji where in the app store.)

The only reason i would jailbrake is to have a friggin background on my homescreen

i know right. that and to get a five icon dock. but i don't like staying jailbroken because IMO it's too buggy.

Don't reset your settings, otherwise the battery % will disappear.

That's what I did this afternoon to get my hidden apps back. :D
