Hello!

Having a similar setup and currently no issues with the boot picker and the choice of other OS versions. I use macOS Catalina and Mojave and Windows 10 UEFI (once in a while). You tried the magic PRAM reset, which you probably once made to enable the card after installing it (this is just a guess, because I have really no other idea).

The card works even with the OpenCore boot picker I am using because of some other experimental stuff...

YOU are insanely great! Updated the first post...
and where is that rom?

I am observing unregular black screens/crashes with iMac 11,3 and WX4130. Currently I cannot determine if this a sleep/wake issue. Still observing it. Sometimes the system is very stable over many hours eg. a full day (even under high stress like doing the Valley Benchmark with ULTRA Settings with max. temp in the area of 85-89 degrees in peak from AMD GPU, heatsink and ODD sensor at 50-51 ....no outage). Sometimes, with no load, suddenly I have a black screen out of nothing. It's a real crash as I cannot connect from second iMac via network or desktop sharing. Any known issues or hints what this could be?
EDIT: I am using macOS 12,1
Check my earlier post of this exact scenario with WX4130 which could possibly be due to chrome. It fixed the issue upon removing chrome for good.

Hi all,
I have been wrestling with an iMac 11,3 and a AMD FirePro M6100 for more than a week and cannot get past a black screen once a Big Sur or Monterey installation starts the automated user setup. Booting from the open core picker works fine, the card is GOP flashed but the final step gives me a black screen on the external display and / or the inbuild panel. A linux efi os via OCLP (tried all versions from 0.32 - 04.1) works just fine, temperatures are moderate. OCLP is configured minimal, AMD GCN, and on the ssd. I have attached the config.plist. Could someone point me in the right direction?
EDIT: Giving up on MacOS with this machine/card combination, also not sure, if the logic board is ok. SHELVED.

Hi, I'm looking for a Guide to build a SD with OC. (iMac 2011 i7 - GTX770 by Nick -SSD MX500)
I use it in W10 and I would like to return the brightness control.
Thanks a lot ;)

OpenCore does not enable brightness control in Windows, only within macOS. You have to manually edit the Windows drivers as described in this post, but it does not work in any case.

Check the first post about OpenCore and OCLP and use it to create an SD card in case you run macOS.

Hi guys!

I reader the first post but I still have some question. I received this hollyday a iMac 21.1 21', and I want to upgrade for better performance. I already upgrade de SSD and 16GB RAM and want to upgrade the GPU. According to the first post, the best performance option is the WX4150, but have dudes about if work well or need mod.

So, if I buy this GPU: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005...;121.26;-1;-1@salePrice;EUR;search-mainSearch

Works without any mod??

Thank you nikey22 and Nick[d]vB for the work you have done!

Curious if sleep works on the iMac12,2? I'm in the market for a card and it would be great to get the most performance possible for under $200 with working sleep. WX4150's seem too pricey for what they are and the M5100 is cheap but underwhelming. Looking forward to more progress and the final BIOS.

Check the last two pages and read his post, again.

Card does break sleep and causes crashes on each reboot in the 2011. Same as with the W6170M. Even @Nick [D]vB knew this two years ago.

There is always a chance that someone comes up with a solution, but if we all sit silently at home waiting for a single developer to get the work done it may probably never happen.

The 2021 iMac M1 can be bought at sale price by Apple's authorized resellers. Power consumption is lower and is more than a decade faster.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I have tried unsuccessfully to edit the Windows Registry.
So, in windows, the solution goes through a GTX780 or another ++, or it doesn't work either?
In a 2009 I put a PWM hardware solution. On windows, is there any other possibility?
