I use this username: ssh root
and this password: flash

As dfranetic has pointed out above, if you are sure that you used the correct password "flash", check the user name. It should be "root" only. SSH is a command, it's not included in the username. I did the flash from a Windows PC (Windows power shell) and thus copying the whole command line including IP address worked for me perfectly.

Do you maybe have a link?
I do not know what do to? or where to look?
Thank you

1. You need to understand which files are in which folders on the GRML USB.
2. You need to understand some basic Linux commands to monitor the files and folders.
3. And don't forget to include "./" in your command line. Read until thoroughly understand the README file inside the "flash" folder.
I forgot this "./" and was told (on the screen) that the file doesn't exit.

in the first post is a lnk on how to flash the bios (https://forums.macrumors.com/thread....1596614/page-115?post=27787298#post-27787298), but it says it is out-of-date and refers em back to the first post?
So i am going in loops and cannot find the info i need...

Use this post of xanderon

While read more on the explanation of The_Croupier

Thank you very much for this info!
When trying to flash, I get "error code 5", what does that mean?

The PCI subsystem ID does not match. What do I need to do?

Override with parameter -4

I still get an error code 2
console read: bad file descriptor
Reading from the keyboard failed

Why are you using a GUI and not the terminal app from windows? Just enter the linux commands which are described in the already mentioned posts.
with the windows terminal I cannot enter the password. when it asks for the password, my keyboard does not function?

well...looking at the failure message the GUI has also an issue with the keyboard "Reading from Keyboard failed". So check your windows....I am not using windows since long time .-)

Try to flash the correct vBIOS from page #1 to your GPU.
Unless your internal screen and its LCD temp sensor have been reconnected the CPU and GPU run in throttled mode. Cannot tell you where you find this, but hopefully on the same port you linked in yourself. In this mode no benchmark will run really fast.

Old NVIDIA cards in iMac12,2 are a nightmare. Yes, return it if flashing does not change the behavior return the card as fast as you can.

If you just want to use Ubuntu you can use any of the listed AMD GCN cards. The sleep/wake issue described happens only with macOS. Of course you would need OpenCore to have a boot picker…
For the 12,2 iMac which card in your opinion has the least amount of troubles for macOS?
Thanks
