Hi,

i upgraded my 27“ 2011 with a GTX 770M.

Can i now run a fully working Mojave with the Patcher Tool? Anything important to do during the patch?

Oh sorry.... tanks

The temperatur shows 129 degrees. It musst be an failure from the temp sensor i guess but the fans running normal. Any idear to fix this?

And any solution für the bootscreen without flashing the Bios?

As far as i know, bootscreen not possible without an modified vbios flash.
129c is indeed a failure and macos cannot read the sensor correctly.
As far as I know sensors always give 129c when they cannot be read out correctly.

But the sensor is ON the headsink so why it is reading the wrong temp? Actually it cant „know“ with GPU is installed, doesnt it?

Does windows boot(can you hear the startup sound) and it restarts after that? Or before it even boots. If it boots, you could check the windows logs to see why.
No windows does not boot. I cannot hear the startup chime. The mac turns on then stays on for 3 seconds then shuts off, starts again etc. etc.

Could it be somehow 675m related? IIRC you did have new k5 Pro on your VRAM? Or is it something else? Have you redone thermal paste on the i7 830 CPU? There isn't much else I can think of.

Hi,
I just tried by removing the sensor from the DVD drive and putting it on the heatsink of GPU.
The machine still shuts down when the GPU Heatsink temp reaches 50C... I'm using Heaven with MEDIUM quality setting.

If it is a CPU issue, can I test with a CPU only benchmark? Which one do you recommend?

Thanks

Cinebench r15 if you can still find the DMG of the Application online. If not Cinebench R20 from the App store.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I can confirm the sensor problem is fixed in Win10. You can use macfanspeed on that as well to regulate them.

Fans are normal and i dont use Windows. The only Problem is it shows always 129°.
It was the same on a 21,5 2011 iMac witch got. an 770M Upgrade. Maybe its just especially the 770M.....

That's normal the Nvidia Die cannot report a temperature reading itself in Mac OS. You can only rely on the heatsink temperature sensor from now on.

I'm asking! :) I think the best would be to create a winclone image and share it with the community, thats the easiest way to install WIndows without a boot screen.

Winclone is the easiest way, if somebody can share his working Windows install..

if you please, share your install info with us..
We can create a new winclone image..

I've got an old Windows 7 winclone image, but internal display never got it working.. (GTX765m)

Hey guys. I will not create a winclone to share as it is illegal and I personally don’t want to. However I will answer your questions as to what step you are one so you can proceed to the next step.

I have taken my imac apart 25 times so be prepared to do the same. But after everything I can say windows 7 runs like a dream on my 27” iMac 2011.

For people who wants to run windows 7 on your iMac, I would advise NOT to use winclone. DO NOT mod the files of bootcamp. I bought windows 7 from eBay and then downloaded a legitimate copy. I then burned the copy to a DVD-R. A USB will not work. I also let my lcd screen fall from the motherboard but repaired it myself.
[doublepost=1557133715][/doublepost]Disclaimer: The following steps is what I have done in order to get windows 7 working with the iMac screen. This is purely for educational purposes. Do this at your own risk.

In order to make windows 7 you will need the following:
- Mini Display Port Adapter with HDMI Cable
- Another Monitor or TV
- Legitimate Purchased Microsoft Windows 7 Key (USB’s WILL NOT WORK)
- DVD-R (or DVD-RW)(To burn the legitimate copy of Windows 7 64bit I bought off eBay)
- A second computer (I had a MacBook Pro)
- Your optical Drive MUST be in your iMac as this will be the only way to boot into windows 7.
- Upgrade to an SSD before attempting this.

Have you installed NVIDIA drivers before you swapped the card and if so do you hear a Windows start-up sound
