Honestly, save yourself the money.
I used to have MyChoice, complementary through T-Mobile Tuesday.
The tracking isn't more detailed (the lack off detail on the website is due to some recent redesign, the app will still show you each step along the way) and the "more control" is honestly lackluster.
In theory you can choose a delivery date that works for you and when I got Apple stuff directly from the assembly line overseas they'd offer a delivery date to choose that was sooner than the tentative estimate.
In reality however it's a request and it always came back with "not possible" and every once in a while it actually delayed the package because they tried to fish out out of the logistical process that was already underway.
So personally I'd advice against spending money on it, if you can get it for free though like I was able to, then sure, why not. It at least gives you the option to upgrade the service level of SurePost packages (packages that start and end with USPS but in between travel through the UPS network), in my case those upgrades were not used because UPS automatically upgrades those to UPS ground if they happen to be in the neighborhood, and if you live in a large apartment complex they're always "in the neighborhood".
on the flipside... tomorrow the embargo lifts for the iMacs! yay~!
I hope all the different reviewers get different colors. I really want to see what some of the other colors look like.
Yes, and I'd like to hear more about the screen finish. Haven't heard too much about that. I currently have a 27" iMac with super glossy screen. Beautiful but some times during the day I get a refection and have to draw the drapes. Not that it matter though, cuz I'll take whatever it has but just curious.
Ditto - need to see the "mysterious" anti glare screen this display is supposed to have...
My Purple 16/512 with expected delivery to Philadelphia on 5/21 has been sitting in Osaka since Friday according to UPS. I guess it doesn’t matter too much where it sits before it gets here, but seeing everyone else’s shipment progress has me worried mine will come late.
Don't worry, if UPS / FedEx says delivery is scheduled to for 5/21, then it will catch up - remember, it only takes a day to get from Asia to US and then another day from the central hub (KY or TN) to get to your distribution center.

Don't worry. Happens to me every year on the iPhone. Everyone else's is sitting in Memphis or Louisville while mine is still in China or Alaska! Yet every year I still get mine on time on Launch Day. Amazing how fast they get it to you when on contract to do so.
Fedex really not moving things out of Shanghai. My iMac has been stuck there for 2.5 days and FlightAware appears to show no Fedex flights out today or tonight.
Remember, flights with Apple pallets use other commercial carriers for transpacific flights - Air China or other commercial flights.
Or maybe it will hitch a ride on a UPS freight plane ?
thought i'd follow up with you! have you seen any movement suggesting an earlier delivery?
20 minutes after I posted this, it changed to "In transit" and is presumably leaving Shanghai. Still not clear which flight.

UPS still has mine in Shanghai too and hasn’t had an update since Friday. I’m trying to not worry myself but like all of you, the anticipation is almost unbearable at this point ?
I ordered Silver/8-core/16GB/1TB the second it went online and my shipping date is between June 3-June 8 for some reason. Status changed from "Processing" to "Preparing to Ship" yesterday

mine is scheduled June 1 - 8. I will be picking up at UPS Hub. My driver gets here 7-8 at night. One day i did the follow your delivery and noticed his truck didn’t move for more then two hours. So i decided to venture and to find his truck is parked in a driveway which i assume is his home. I called UPS and logged a complaint and they said we will forward it to the right people which i’m better wasn’t true either
Or he stopped for a couple of hours of a little adult fun.
he can do that on his time not mine lol
