Has anyone in the UK seen any movement yet from Processing? My card was charged last Friday but my estimated delivery date of June 4th hasn't changed. I'm hoping that because I've been charged the delivery may be a little sooner than June 4th - what do we all think?
As I’ve said a few times, credit card charges aren’t really much of an indication as to what is going on behind the scenes. The pages of speculation about credit card charges are a fixture of preorder threads and then in the end everyone gets their machine at a similar time whatever their credit card charging experience was. It’s just the way the system works. However, if you have a cleared charge rather than just pending then that would seem rather early for a 4th June delivery.

Regardless of that, I’m hoping that you will get it before your estimated date. If you are like me then that was originally towards the end of your delivery window and I think the chances are good that it will come earlier. My original estimate was 27 May-3 June (now estimated 3rd June) and I think that it is likely that we will see some movement soon and maybe a delivery late next week or early the week after.

I’ve not seen any movement on my order since 30th April.

I haven’t even been charged yet and my delivery is meant to be on the 27th May.

I have 2 on order for delivey in the uk. Still showing as processing. You’ve heard the saying - ‘A watched apple order never moves passed processing’ But I can’t stop checking! :)

Anyone else have a clearance delay with FedEx? Looks like mine went from Shanghai to Oakland, CA, arriving there at 1:13AM today (Tuesday). States "Clearance delay - import. Clearance instructions from the importer are required." At the top of the FedEx page it states "Part number not provided in customer's database. Recommended action: Shipper/Consignee to provide part number." It was set for delivery Friday, but now it's "pending." I imagine it wouldn't be worth the effort to call FedEx, so I guess I just wait to see what happens???

I received the clearance delay import message on fed ex website. One shows I should get it on Friday May 21st but Apple shows Tues May 25th and now fed ex is showing clearance delay-import in Memphis TN. ugh. How long it will get stuck in clearance delay-import?

I ordered as soon as pre-orders opened and mine hasn't even shipped. I'm so pissed because I went back a few hours later and changed the shipping address which was actually only changing it from my husband's name to mine. Now I worry I won't get mine Friday. Anyone else order right within the first few minutes and their item hasn't shipped?
one of the iMacs in my order has not shipped yet. i ordered 2 within the first few minutes of orders opening (received my confirmation email at 5:08) and the pink, less popular shipped and is in kentucky. the second, blue... one of the most popular colors... finally got a pending charge on my apple card but still showing processing on apple.

What’s likelihood of me getting order this week if I just placed it? Slim?
the only way you're getting it this week is if you wait and order friday once stores have stock or go to a store and they have stock! no way, unless you are the luckiest person in the world... will you get one ordered this week delivered this week!

But
Wahey I’ve been charged for the iMac. Never been happier to see apple take money! Now hopefully the delivery date gets moved forward. Initially had 21-27th May when I ordered but then moved to the 27th. Fingers cross it comes Friday.
But still processing?

Had this one year with my iPhone. ultimately it cleared and the pallet of iPhones got to us on time... but ya... the AGONY of waiting! our delivery date was much closer when it was happening with the iPhones (think that may have been the year with weather/typhoon issues, too!)

Good to see the system is back functioning again; my order has returned to "preparing to ship". Is there any chance it could go from "preparing to ship" to "in my hands" in 5 days? I don't know the history of these things. I'm starting to mentally prepare myself for the likelihood that mine will be arriving later in my estimated delivery window.
Mine was in China 2 days ago; Japan yesterday; and Memphis, TN today with delivery scheduled Friday. Short Answer: Yes.

This is from apple chat today: I do see that your order is in clearance delay. This can happen sometimes when orders need to go through customs. Rest assured there is no action needed on your part! We have teams continuously monitoring delivery situations. It looks like the order is still expected to arrive within the original quoted time frame of May 21 - May 27 from when you made your purchase. Right now it's expected on May 25.

I did consider it, but I don’t need all the power anymore. Especially at what I know will be a much higher cost. Plus, I never take my laptop off the desk lol. So I figured I might as well save some money, and go with the desktop.
I too, have a MBP that I am trading in for a new 16/1TB iMac rather than waiting for the M1 MBP 16". Likewise the lack of need for portability and assumption that the MBP will be about twice the cost. The other factor is having a larger screen.

I ordered mine a few mins after launch but still have May 24-28 estimated with status of processing. Green 1Tb/16Gb model.
Same color, configuration, order time. Apple has consistently put my delivery date as May 24 whereas FedEx says the 21st before noon. Apple always seems to show a later date in my experience once it is shipped. Don't understand why yours is still processing however.

Very possible - I have seen Apple pull a device from their local warehouse, have it delivered direct to you and skip the China route.

Apple has already earmarked pallets to all their Apple Stores so they stage them at distribution warehouses near them so that on launch day, the Apple Store has them for sale (usually the base units, with some mid tier models).

Case in point:
November 2020, I pre-ordered a base M1 Mac Mini and for weeks it said "Processing" with no tracking number. The day before the public launch day, I saw a tracking number was generated by FED_EX.
Then I noticed the label origin was in Bloomington, California - with an origin: Ontario Airport (California).

Sure enough, FED-EX delivered the Mini the very next day from Bloomington CA to Los Angeles CA on launch day.

I was floored - took me for a surprise as I have never seen delivery origin from CA until I posted on the Mini forum and found out that Apple can pull from their Apple Store inventory to fill an order.

Man im tempted to just go apple friday and pick one up if mine doesn't arrive by then. Have a delivery date of 27th but im hoping it comes earlier. Also does anyone know if the Magic Trackpad in those colours will be available as a separate item?

Would be even better if Apple somehow have the 16gb ram config as well.

Had the same thing happen to me when the iPhone 12 was launched - mine was pre-ordered weeks in advance but didn't arrive on launch day when others have.

So on launch day, I went online to the Apple Store and paid for another exact identical iPhone and picked it up the same day.

Then 2 weeks later, the iPhone shows up and I had to return it.
