Same. Chatted with Apple - learned that they can take 5-6 minutes to respond, but if I don't reply within 3 minutes they disconnect the chat, so I spoke with four different reps today. They all said the same thing, "I see it says delivery by end of day, that's exciting!" When I told them Memphis is 1100 miles from me and it's 3pm, I don't think it's gonna make it, they said, "Well it could!"
It's frustrating because the computer was in Memphis on Sunday, the 16th, and my original delivery date was Friday the 21st by noon. After noon, it switched to end of day. Sometime Sunday (the 23rd) it switched to Monday by noon. Today after noon it switched to end of day. I expect it will change to "Pending" later tonight.
For whatever reason, FedEx keeps scanning the package each day in Memphis ("At local facility"), so each rep I talked to said, "It just got there today." And I had to explain no, look at the expanded history, it arrived there the 16th and they just keep scanning it. (And listen, I don't want to beat up on Apple Support reps, but if a computer showed up in Memphis at 5am, what are the chances it's going to get scanned for arrival, scanned for departure, get to the hub in my state 1100 miles away, loaded on a truck and driven another 45 miles, and be delivered by 9pm that same day? Seems like a pretty small chance, I'm not sure why they kept insisting I might get it today.)
The last Apple rep was great, but she couldn't do anything. She said Apple won't consider next steps until two days after the last day of the delivery window given at the time of ordering. She also said if the shipper has an expected delivery date, they may not take action until two days after that has passed. So I have to wait until next Saturday, if it isn't delivered before then, before I can contact Apple and ask for a replacement.
(Maybe it will, just feeling pessimistic because it's been in Memphis for 9 days and doesn't seem to be going anywhere.)
