I ordered on the same date (Yellow, 512GB, 16GB) to the UK. Had a couple days of billing issues as my name changed recently and I didn’t yet have my replacement card! Delivery was picked up today in Shanghai, scheduled to arrive the 24th (it was the 29th when I ordered, then 22nd-29th while order was preparing).
Update: Tracking still the same. Has said 'Shipment picked up' since early on the 16th. Apple order page changing from 'arriving soon' to 'arriving the 24th' every few hours, and still no tracking from there, but there's still loads of time before the end of my originally quoted dates.

My July 7-14th estimate order shipped this morning and is due to arrive here in Canada next Thursday, so coming quite a bit early.
That’s a great surprise! Very lucky.

My Blue 8/8 16GB 256GB iMac is estimated for July 23rd - July 30th. Such a long wait, I’m tempted to order a Mac mini with the same spec.

Ordered mine 22nd May and my order's still sat firmly on "processing" with a delivery date of 6th - 13th July...

? it's agony!!

Every day I tell myself to stop checking my order to see if it's moved to "preparing to ship", and every day I look at least three or four times..!

It'll be just my luck if they send me a wonky one ?

Just ordered mine today with a ship date of July 22-28, is it likely going to take that long? If so this will be a long wait?

I keep checking my order a few times a day which is pointless as I’m over a month away until it will be delivered.

I really want a Mac computer by W/C 5th July as I have that week off work and i haven’t had a PC since August 2020.

I already have a 27” QHD monitor and tempted to buy a Mac mini M1 16GB instead of waiting for this M1 iMac

Same here lol:). Ordered mine May 27th (Blue 8/8 16GB 256GB) and everyday I go in and check hoping to see a change in status.

Arrived today! 8 days before the original date I was quoted, and 3 days before Apple's quote once it shipped. ?

Could not be happier! It’s gorgeous and unbelievably fast, I can absolutely notice the difference from my 2020 MBP. ?

June 25th- July 2nd, still processing.

I doubt I will get it on the 25th, probably closer to July 2nd. It can't come soon enough!

Looking at July 29 for me (placed order 9th June). Not overly worried but thinking I should have waited for larger as was my initial intention. Then had a play with one in the Apple shop, threw some video work at it that would make my 2013 iMac gulp in trepidation and it flew, and for my photo editing and light work it will do the biz.
Might upgrade after a year to two, see how it goes. All the talk of larger closer to 30" is going the wrong way past 27" for me (I know, nothing concrete yet but itching for a new one).
Still, new 11" pro iPad is sweet.

So very few are getting theirs early? When do they actually charge for it? Preparing to ship or when it actually ships? Ordered mine 3 weeks ago and its still on order in progress with a July 15-22nd delivery date. Are they walking these things over from China?

Quite a few seem to be getting their deliveries early, if this thread is anything to go by, but for any individual order it really depends on so many factors that it is impossible to judge if current or recent production and delivery volumes are anything to go by for the future.

It is possible, however, to say that since in most instances Apple aren't charging for an order until the individual shipping label is prepped and ready to stick on the box (and in many places, they aren't allowed to charge before shipping anyway), they are likely to be running production as fast as they can.

It is also possible that an individual order may be held up a bit due to production problems, or shortages of parts such as specific SSDs for example, or popularity of that particular spec, so two models ordered on the same day with different specifications could have widely different anticipated delivery.

"Are they walking these things over from China?". Of course they are. Well spotted! If you're lucky enough to have an Apple store or 'partner' retailer in your area, you could shortcut that long walk with a shorter one of your own of course.

Thanks but Im pretty sure there isn't an Apple store on the planet that has the 8/8 model with 16GB RAM just sitting around....maybe Apple should hire more slave labor over there in China and get these things churned out faster. 6 week wait is crap.

I don't know - I don't have an Apple store within hundreds of miles of here, but there have been people posting here that they've been able to get 8/8/16 models from stores.

Right now there are some supply constraints, as usual with new Apple products, but they do have to keep their stores and those of their partner retailers stocked at the same time.

6 weeks is a bit disappointing for wait time, but not a whole lot different than usual for those who miss the first pre-order rush. Being smug, I can say that because I already have mine - but I can also say that it's worth the wait.

Yes but Ive never had to wait 6 weeks for an iPhone, ever. They screwed something up with these big time because there are far less of these being sold than iPhones.

They are rather bigger, more complex and have far more links in the supply chains too. But, if you don't want to wait, and haven't got, or don't want to try local potential sources, that's entirely up to you.

Generally, however, Apple have proven the masters of their supply chains, so if they did in fact 'screw something up', it might not be the first time, but would be a rarity.

They are indeed and a new design always brings delays. This same thing happened with the iMac redesign in 2012. You couldn't get your hands on one for weeks. I worked in a channel and we were lucky to get a few a week and they would sell as soon as they came in. It will loosen up in the next month or two but these are still rough times. Everything is back-ordered. Every time I go in for a car repair I have to wait for parts.

Pulled the trigger a couple of days ago and ordered the mid model in orange - 16GB RAM, 512GB with ETA Jul 23- Jul 30. Coming from 2010 iMac 21" (with I don't own anymore) and a Late 2015 27" (my current machine) and was waiting for years for Apple to redesign the iMac. Hopefully, I'll sell the 27" for a decent price so I feel a bit better going out of my usual budget to buy the M1 iMac. My biggest concerns though are that I won't enjoy the smaller screen size and that I won't see any significant benefit by the increased RAM and the dual fans, short term at least. My uses are Office apps, Mail, Web design (multiple tabs open in safari all the tine), Graphic design (Affinity Apps), some photo editing of jpeg/raw files and casual video editing of full HD files. No 3D renderings, no video games, no music production.

For someone that tends to keep machines for about 5 years(+) I think you made the right choice to go with 16GB. It may not be needed now, but in a few years or so I would not be at all surprised to see 16GB on the base models.

I ordered after the initial rush, on on May 14...a 8/8/16/2TB Yellow iMac. It sat on Processing until Friday last week, when it jumped from Processing to Shipped overnight. The card was charged and I received tracking information. It had an initial delivery date of June 30 - July 8. It arrived yesterday and I'm writing this on the new beautiful iMac now. (Yellow rocks)

One side note...the iMac arrived in my home town and sat in Fedex's warehouse from Monday 6-21, until Thursday. Fedex set a due date of 6-24 and wouldn't allow it to be picked up or delivered before their date. I spent some time on the phone Tuesday to try to shake it loose, and after talking to Fedex and Apple I decided to just wait for delivery. Its here now and I love it!! Fast!! and big screen. Love the Touch ID although Face ID would be cool too. A great device!

I think my Orange 8/8/16/2TB iMac ordered on the 22nd May can't be far off as my credit card's just been charged for the AppleCare. Not yet the computer though...

Edit: Card now charged for computer (a couple of hours later). It'll be interesting now to see when it ships and how long it takes to reach me in the UK. Still says processing on Apple's site.
