My imac has always shown arrives on 22 June. And always as 'processing'. Today (14th) STILL showing the same. If delivery is gonna be 22 June, should I have expected it to have moved from 'processing' to 'preparing to ship' at least? A little anxious it's going to slip... hmmmFinally a change in the order: it has now changed to "Preparing to ship" and my card has been charged!
Expected date of delivery is June 18th, but I hope it might arrive a bit earlier. With my previous order, the Apple TV 4K, there was only a day between payment and delivery. UPS won't deliver in weekends here though, so I'll receive it Monday at the earliest.
We'll wait and see. I'm hoping to get it somewhere next week. ?
(Blue, 16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD, shipping to the Netherlands).
Mine has shipped, but it has shipped from Ireland. Over the weekend, UPS has not given any updates as to where the iMac currently is. Probably somewhere on a pallet at an airport or in a truck. It is scheduled to arrive the 21st, 3 days after the original delivery date, which already was the last day of the delivery slot.My imac has always shown arrives on 22 June. I don't understand why the couriers like UPS/Fedex are so slow in Europe. I can have something shipped all the way from the southeast US or even Mexico and it arrive in Western Canada, the very next day but in Europe I always found I was very lucky if I got something in 3 or even 4 days.Mine has shipped, but it has shipped from Ireland. Ah well, those extra 3 days probably won't hurt.
Probably.
Ordered one for a parent and it showed up on the last day of the expected arrival, which was today.
Yesterday I saw the iPhonedo video demonstrating the crooked display manufacturing error.
The iMac I received is indeed “out of balance”, the right-side is 5 mm lower than the left. I have some concerns about the low-end model having the undocumented single-fan thermal design but for my intended use-case it may be a non-issue.
The green looks great on the computer and accessories too.
I also made an error on my order by selecting the wrong keyboard so this machine is definitely going back. Disappointed to see a hardware issue that could possibly go unnoticed even if widespread.
It’s possible but not ideal. Only you can decide but for me 256 requires too much diligence.I can pick one up today with a 10% discount here, but only the base model 256GB, nearly all my storage is photos and videos, i use iCloud but have them downloaded on my iPad and iphone both 256gb with 85gb left.
My other uses is mainly email, pages, don’t download music.
Enough you think?
I used my eyes. A half-centimetre variance is quite a lot when spread over a large otherwise straight span. My not-so-discerning parent actually saw it before me. Of course sitting in front of it you can see the slant against the foot which falls behind the display and has perpendicular lines to use. Of course if there is anything level behind the computer like a window or cupboard or patterned surface it easy to see what doesn't align.[…]
As to the imbalance issue: 5 mm? How, might I ask, did you even perceive this?
It is very easy to off load photos and videos onto an external SSD that stays connected and is on your screen just as available and convenient as if it is in a folder on your system. You just have to remember to do any backups separately. Yes i could go that way, i just had a HD for back ups. Alot of my photo library storage are old videos I took of my kids and converter to mp4 that i saved, have the disks/USB too, it probably won’t grow much more as i mainly do the odd photos now. Update! From Ireland, it shipped to the UPS Paris hub, and from there to the Netherlands. Today it arrived at the UPS hub nearby, and it is expected to arrive at my doorstep somewhere tomorrow morning! I ordered on the same date (Yellow, 512GB, 16GB) to the UK. Had a couple days of billing issues as my name changed recently and I didn’t yet have my replacement card! Delivery was picked up today in Shanghai, scheduled to arrive the 24th (it was the 29th when I ordered, then 22nd-29th while order was preparing). Here is some info for those that didn’t order on April 30. I ordered a blue 8/8 16GB 2TB on May 10th. The original projected delivery dates were June 16-23. It shipped on June 9th from Shanghai and went through Japan to Memphis. Apple said it would be delivered on the 17th and Fedex said the 15th. It was delivered today, the 14th. Haven’t got it setup yet, but it is level. Turns out my late 2012 27” imac is not quite level.
And so it happened that even though the UPS website said: "Delivery on June 17th, between 10 am and 1 pm", the UPS guy rang my bell yesterday afternoon! Lucky I was accidentally working from home, so I got it on the 16th (which happens to be my birthday, so Yay! for this birthday present! ), even though the original date was the 18th.Update! Not yet!Is EPP Friends & Family for iMac M1 available now? Does anyone know?
I'm surprised it isn't available yet. The Military/ Veterans discount was active on the first day of ordering (That's how I got 10% off on mine.)I'm still waiting for the corporate EPP discount. Might be waiting a bit longer yet, but I'm patient.
Thank you! Whether the EPP would available at the end of June or not?Not yet!
