My delivery date is June 9 -16 however my iMac left Shanghai Wednesday the 2nd and made it to my town in the US on the 4th but is ironically stuck in the Fedx hub just 8 miles from my home now with an expected delivery next Tuesday the 8th.

Per the shipper, there are no delivery options for this shipment such as me changing the delivery to a customer pickup at the hub, etc. Go figure....
I'm happy to report if you ignore the blurb above about no options to make delivery changes to your Fedx order staff at the local distribution center where my blue 512 was hibernating were more than happy to pull it out of the warehouse and let me take it home. A print out of my emailed FedX order and my driver's license got me and my new iMac in and out of there quickly.

Have until today to decide if I wanna activate the return window for my iMac 8gb ram. Have a 16gb on order for 22nd June delivery and I have an extra 14 days to return my current one once I open the return period, so that would take it up to the 17th.

Decisions to make. All in all, I’m happy with how the 8gb ram one has performed especially since I’ve been editing a few 20/30 minute wedding videos.
how i feel about it is i do light photoshop and music and video editing but its wearing on my MBA 8GB (2018) and although ive heard M1 is a great chip and ram isnt all that important i didnt wanna make the same mistake

Judging by what you do, 8gb M1 sounds like it’ll work with a breeze but obviously if you wanna go higher then do so. I plan to get 16gb for the new MBP but I’m also assuming that’ll be the minimum.

Ok, I'm on the board! I just received the email from Apple that my iMac has shipped. I have a tracking number but UPS doesn't have details yet. If it's shipping from the US then I may get it by the estimated date of June 8th. If it's coming from China or Thailand, no way. But whatever date I get it, I'm excited!

that's nice, my local hub refused and held my package for 2 solid days.

Man, I hate that...I must have gotten lucky. The employee that came up to the counter had no problem taking care of it for me when a call to customer service earlier in the morning informed me they could not do it as the shipper specified the package had to be delivered to the address (my home).

Package finally left Shanghai over the weekend, but delivery has been pushed back from Wednesday to Friday.

It landed in Kentucky today and I'm in Jersey. One can pray it delivers earlier than Friday.

Anyone on here order their iMac 24 from Expercom? I order mine on Preorder day at 6am on April 30. At the time it said 3-4 weeks estimated delivery. Well still got nothing and it's been 5 1/2 weeks. Silver 8core/7core, 16GB/256Gb. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me? I'm in the US.

I ordered a 8/8 8gb ram 512 ssd blue from best buy and it arrived 10 days ago. We do light video editing and 8gb of ram wasn’t cutting it for us. I had two chrome tabs open and apple music running and it would use most of my ram and was swapping a good bit. I returned it and picked up a blue 16gb 1tb 8/8 from the apple store today and wow! I have so many chrome tabs open and running 4k videos while many applications are open and there is 0 swap happening with plenty of ram left over. Maybe, the swap issue is overblown but for the $1700 we paid we weren’t happy. We were able to use my wife’s education discount and get the new one for $1959. Much more happy! Cheers!

Same with mine. Originally scheduled for 6/9 delivery after shipping from Shanghai, then delayed to 6/11, but now it says it's in Louisville and cleared customs, and is to be delivered 6/8.

Nice! It looks ours are in the same lot.

Mine cleared customs this afternoon. Still saying 6/11, but fingers crossed.

Edit: Updated delivery to tomorrow :)

this is the first time i decided to go the 16gb ram route. i've always used mid-tier macbooks and my macbook air (2018) has 8gb and its really wearing down on the ram just from the light photoshop and music/video editing i do. im excited to see the difference :)

Yes, that's a lot of Chrome activity ... you have more chrome than I saw on many '60s cars! MacChrome?

All done ... Trade-Ins checked ... just got the email ... final tally for the M1 machines ...
Mac mini base model: ((1+0.085 tax -0.03 Apple Card cash back) * $699) - $320 trade-in credit = $417.45
iMac base model: ((1+0.085 tax -0.03 Apple Card cash back)) * $1299) - $410 trade-in credit = $960.45

Well, well, well. My label was created today and it shipped from Louisville, KY. Looks like I'm getting one made in the USA. Still scheduled for delivery tomorrow, by 7:00 PM, and it's headed north to NJ as I type this.

Yeah, not to rain on your parade, but ehh.... maybe start thinking about using something else than Chrome? I see you only have about four tabs open, and it uses a whopping 2.260 MBs of RAM. Thats huge.
