So Calif
How can they be stolen if you have to sign for it? Unless you choose that they can leave it, which I agree is way too risky. I've sometimes taken the day off so I can be home to sign. We're in a very rural area and the nearest Apple store is an hour and a half from me, don't feel like making a 3-hour round trip into the city and Apple store madness.
In the past 2 years, UPS has never had me sign anything.
They just drop it and go.
It's a pandemic thing - the driver does not want you to touch their scanner or pen.

The "other person" you continue to dog is quite experienced at this and did do the advance setup. Stop please.
Agreed. I've been doing the iPhone thing since 2007 and have gone from standing in line to preordering. The very same ordering process went perfectly smoothly last year with all the same information. It was just a glitch in the matrix for some people this year. I'm not sure what all the "scolding" is about. Gatekeeping, I suppose.

Lmao. USP workers knowing next week will be hell.
This is still my favorite iPhone/plane tracking meme 😂

I will have to check this out. I ordered a Moos case because it’s what I have on my 13 PM. It’s not cheap or super thin but I’ve dropped my 13 PM multiple times with no damage
Are there more robust/protective offerings than Totallee's thin cases? Absolutely. But the added bulk of most cases makes me light-headed. From the original launch day '07 device, it wasn't until the X before I opted for a case. I was approaching it from a "it comes in a case and it's meant to be seen" angle - which I still believe. But Totallee's cases are so thin, and I'm pretty careful my handhelds, that they cover my most common concern: sitting my device down on various surfaces sans any thought. From anything crazier... That's what AppleCare+ is for. 😜

Totally also offers pretty frequent deals on their cases. So maybe keep an eye out for a price drop (once the melee subsides) and see what you think. Cheers.

I'm in the same boat as you, ordered the same iPhone Pro Max also from T-Mobile. What a mess pre-ordering was/is this year.
- I was online before 8 am EST and couldn't get into the Apple Store app for more than 10-15 mins.
- Once in, Apple couldn't verify my phone line or PIN with T-Mobile.
- I got a reservation ticket # finally from Apple saying T-Mobile was having trouble...
- T-Mobile's website got me to the confirm order step after shipping address & Payment and would just spin and spin.

About 10:40 am I tried Apple Store app again on a whim, this time it took and my order is set for delivery Oct 10 - 17 also by Postal Service (it says).

I guess deliver 3-4 weeks late isn't so bad given all the issues. I'll be traveling on Sept 16 anyway.

I highly doubt Apple is going to ship the new iPhone by Postal Service. If so I'll never get it!😄

I'm sure it will update to UPS at some point. What a mess pre-order was this year!

Shout out to people I recognize from previous pre-order threads.

Same as you, but Oct 10-17 could be a place holder for the the issues. We can possible see it changed and delivered sooner. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

For those of you that did the iPhone 14 Pro Max in 256GB with Apple Upgrade Program, what was your first payment? On my original receipt, it said about $110 in tax and $58 for first month payment, bringing the total to $161.

But then when my payment had issues going through, the Apple associate said it only tried charging my card $88 for taxes and then $58 for the first month's payment.

He updated my payment info to a new card and it seems to have "cleared", but it is now showing initial tax $88 and first payment $58 for a total of $146.

Worried that I am going to get a email in a few hours saying that the payment isn't right again.

Their advice was to call Citizens One, but as soon as I get to someone, it hangs up.

:(
You get charged the sales tax for now. Once your phone is shipped you do get charged the first month then.

So I spoke to a  rep. She told me that if you are seeing "Postal Service", it is possible it will come by USPS. She is checking to see if we can upgrade it to "Express".

OAN, here in the states, I do remember seeing on the news two days ago, that UPS "may" be embarking upon a strike so, this may be the reason,  has the "Postal Service" as an option.

I just had the 2 small things to verify and it was done. Overall seamless process

Always get a physical receipt when you return

Hugs to you, @Laryl

Off Topic: As trippy as it is to hear King Charles, its even more trippy to hear Queen Camilla! Trying to explain to my kids that 20 years ago nobody would have believed you if you told them Camilla would one day be queen.

that wasnt the issue. the return kit never made it to my home and i had a day left to return it. new apple specialist refunded the balance to my credit card instead of applying it to the new IUP loan. manager shrugged the error off as my fault. it took everything in me come out of retirement as a regional boxing champ 😂😅.

Thanks! So the 24th payment on the old phone will just come out as it's supposed to and then that'll be done, basically? That whole October release date when the 12 came out really messed up that payment schedule, lol
Pretty sure that is the case, the loan will close and you will own it outright.

Is anyone who is part of the iUP received anything from citizens one yet? I

I will absolutely keep you updated, and please let me know if you get anywhere too! Same plan—if there is any possibility that them making a change will mess with my pick up date, "DO NOT touch it. Don't even look at it."
So the tax hit my card just now and my order moved to “order in progress“. So I think everything is fine and I’m not going to call in. I’m not sure the billing address really matters at the end of the day. The only thing I did was go in the app and update my billing information.
