Those were SOOOOO thin. Almost not really a case. Barely dropped my phone 1x and the case split on the corner. YMMV.
Yeah I had a soft clear one for my 11. Itā€™s nice and thin and not too slippery. But I only use it in the house because I donā€™t trust this case to do anything but protect from scratches. Also, itā€™s yellowed a bit, in less than a year?

I think it's better to order through your carrier. Less people ordering, less problems. Year after year Apples website has issues, and year after year people still order there. Yes alot of people have a smooth process, but why take the chance you are one of the ones who do not?
I was on ATTs site at 7:55, and done by 8:01. Every year for the last five years. Got my phone on launch day every time.
An no guarantee you will get because they dont know if they will receive their order from Apple.

Since they switched to 5 am release dates I've never managed to get Launch day at Apple. I think I will do ATT for my next Pre-order

that wasnt the issue. the return kit never made it to my home and i had a day left to return it. new apple specialist refunded the balance to my credit card instead of applying it to the new IUP loan. manager shrugged the error off as my fault. it took everything in me come out of retirement as a regional boxing champ šŸ˜‚šŸ˜….

My order was stuck at ā€œOrder receivedā€ and i refreshed the page and now itā€™s ā€œprocessingā€œ. Maybe a good sign itā€™ll show up earlier than the date I got? Who knows. View attachment 2055223
It does seem like we are hitting processing really quickly this year.
This seems most likely to me. In SoCal here -- 'standard delivery' for me.

my email confirmation says 7:08am CDT with 9/16 standard delivery. I had my pre-order ready last night but was not able to order until 7:07am either through app or website. Tried website or app but with no luck. So reboot my iphone and was able to order @7:07. Not sure if the reboot helped at least my order went thru.
Now the fun begins tracking it :)

So the tax hit my card just now and my order moved to ā€œorder in progressā€œ. So I think everything is fine and Iā€™m not going to call in. Iā€™m not sure the billing address really matters at the end of the day. The only thing I did was go in the app and update my billing information.
I was just coming to update you. I got through to apple, and the rep said she wasn't able to make a change, but did see that the transaction was approved. She even went to the team that handles the iUP and they said that because my billing information was correct with citizens one and it had already been approved, I would be all set. When you say you went into the app to change your billing information, do you mean your default billing information for apple? You weren't able to update anything on the order, right?

I think closing and rebooting is a very good thing to do just before orders go live
