Exactly. I'm assuming this is just some glitchy behavior in the overloaded system, and the Apple Reps have no script yet to explain it. As we've seen at least 30-40 reports of this here in this forum, it has to be effecting many hundreds of orders, and Apple will have to at some time address it (even if that's just quietly updating the shipping info at some point). I highly doubt somewhere in Logistics they made the decision to assign a 7 day delay and use USPS for seemingly random orders in which you had no choice for the shipping at order time, and they "promised" 9/16 at the time of ordering.
I'll try to stop stressing about it. I believe UPS will be the major freight carrier to ship our iPhones! To UPS, go beyond!!!

A bunch of us who chose Standard Shipping (which in the past was always UPS/FedEx) have order confirmations which now say "Postal Service" and the date got pushed out a week.
Oh wow, thanks for clarifying. And the original order confirmation in the app (or screen via the website) said 9/16 Delivery? Hopefully, that's just a bug and it turns out to be wrong. Good luck!

I wonder how activations are going to go next Friday? For people that are coming from a iPhone with physical sim to the iphone 14 ESIM

I couldn't be any busier than I am now to be honest. Besides, of course I don't actually have PTSD from an order - just a joke lol

Of course, I have PTSD (SUPER long story) from the iPhone 12/12 Pro launch (and similar thing from last years iPhone 13/13 launch as well lol) which is driving my "lack of progress" concern with these orders.
PTSD The real ones in here knows. I have been affected by this as well. So yes, not the only one. It is part of the process and journey. Remember, traveling is not easy, especially internationally!

Both of my orders are saying Standard Delivery. So hoping it is UPS. I don’t see apple using both carriers to ship the iPhone in the U.S. they will only use one shipment freight carrier because it's coming from China.
I'm sure it could be fedex too? Because when I odered the SBTI AW Series 7, mine came from China but via Fedex. But I do hope that for iPhones it will be UPS.

Apple support is basically useless. After long hold during phone call reached support specialist(in Canada!)

She was unable to even pull up my order # or pull info from it.

Not surprising how ineffective they are.
I had problems last year. When I called, while looking at the order on my device, the rep couldn’t see it in their system yet. Said something about having to wait for the data to duplicate over into the system they use.

Any reports of issues with using Apple Card, like last year? This is my first year ordering with it, so I'm not sure if any problems would've shown up by now.

iPhone 14 Pro Max 512 Silver here.

Planning for massive Dim Sum eating and wine drinking with friends on the 16th so tried to order with pickup from the Brea Mall. Two pickup times I chose disappeared quickly and now its deliver to my home with a Sept 28 - Oct 3 window.

I am hoping it does one of those surprising move ups in dates but will go with the flow.

My iPhone 13 Pro Max was stolen at UPS before it ever got to me. It was part of over 70 phones stolen. Apple did not have any to replace them with and it took until mid November to see the replacement phone.

Will be hoping I do not run into that situation again. Apple never changed my Citizens loan to my new device showing that I was not enrolled in the plan. After way too many hours on the phone with Apple I called Citizens and they were fantastic to work with.

Ok, may be a little early. Just back here for our annual event for

a) last minute flight updates

b) checking status every 5 minutes for the next 168 hours and thereafter to turn off again when 5 minutes after launch the "terrible/amazing battery life discussion" has started ...

c) seeing sunrise and sunset pics from Nevada (@TheYayAreaLiving 🎗 )

Just talked to support in 20 calls I was the first order she could pull up LOL bad news can’t change to expedited shipping from 9/23 to 9/16
