I got my order in 8:12am. I had my laptop, iPad, 12 Pro Max and XS Max all open on the Apple App Store and website. The app came up first and I got a delivery date of 9/16. I also preordered my Ultra with Verizon for the $150 off and will return the Apple order once it’s delivered since it’s too late to cancel.

What screen protectors are you guys getting?
Yessss!!!! Mine just changed to processing and now it just says “arrive fri sep 16” instead of stating how it will be delivered. It was saying it was being delivered by standard delivery, but now that verbiage is gone.

I’m a little nervous on this.
I legally change my last name in May of 2021. I had updated everything and noticed that on my preorder for ISPU this morning that it is billing to my old last name. (Same card, same address, etc.) I thought “no big deal, it worked last year just fine” which was after my name change in May of 2021. However, when I pulled that order, the iPhone 13 preorder had my new, correct last name on the “Bills To:” portion.
I’m not worried about the ISPU contact being my old last name because I still have my ID that matches. However, I am concerned when they try to bill my Apple Card for the preorder that it will fail. Again, same first name, address and card number but the last name is different now. (But was the original last name on the Apple Card, fwiw)
Anyway, I tried chatting with Apple but that’s shut down due to traffic so I tried to call but I’m at work and it’s a 40 min hold.
Thoughts? Am I in trouble or will my preorder go thru since everything else is the same?

I have a vague memory of their having used fedex in the past for a iPhone launch. I think my iPhone X was delivered by FedEx. But nowadays it seems to be ups. Will be interesting to see if usps is really being used this time for some deliveries,

My first guess is that the first batch for launch day had already sold out. But, it might have something to do with the Postal Service being the carrier.Hmmm interesting why is that ?
Just got a pending charge from Apple for $115.20.
I just got a pending charge for the full amount.
I ordered mine on apple.com, and it's being delivered via the Postal Service with a delivery date of 9/23.
