So, I had one courier assigned to deliver my phone using the same-day delivery from the Apple Store. One driver was assigned, and she seemed to be on the way, then mysteriously vanished and I no longer had an assigned courier.

Another person was assigned and he came through! I was not able to tip him in the Apple Store app and explained that to him but he had the Cash App and I tipped him generously that way.

Then, immediately after I had this brand new iPhone in hand, my preorder scheduled to arrive September 27-30 moved to Preparing for Shipment and I could no longer cancel the order.

My husband says he’ll take my September 27-30 phone, even though he didn’t want the Max. I told him I had 14 days to return it if he changes his mind!

So, journey over for this year. See y’all again in a couple of years and best of luck to everyone! It’s been fun.

I love haptics in general, but I HATE key card haptic. I'm weird.

Dumb guy question... What is key card haptic?
Is that leveraging your iPhone as a key (be it for car, home, etc.)? Regardless, I'd like to hear more about why? #curious

Agree. Has been one of my fav aspects fo the update. Greatly prefer tapping glass with some haptics then without.

This is an iOS 16 feature. No idea why it took this long to add it. I turned it on with my iPhone 13 Pro on Monday right after installing. Works great. Nice to have that tactile like response!

No phone today, doubt they will deliver tomorrow so Monday at the earliest. What this message means is they sent it to the wrong place, entirely. Should have been to Texas, not Massachusetts. Oh well.

After showing the UPS truck right next to my house for 15 minutes (it wasn't there), it's now at least a mile away again, and not moving. I think that Follow My Delivery is experiencing a few... issues... today.

I hope he comes soon or I'm going to have to walk the dog as soon as he delivers and I'd really like to do setup first. (Although the dog would probably prefer a walk. But he doesn't have opposable thumbs so the phone is not his thing.)

UPS tracking works perfectly well for 99% of customers. I have a feeling we represent the 1% that want to know exact, real-time location of our UPS drivers at every, given, second. FFS, we've been tracking flights, all over the globe, for several days now. It's amazing. Love the participants on this über niche thread. SO GOOD! 🤪

just like the back tap on iPhones that acts as a hidden home button and the ability to use GarageBand to create your own text and ring tones!!

iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB Space Black. After the stress of not knowing if it would be delivered and just getting off from work, I may chill tonight and get down to transferring my data from my current iPhone 12 Pro Max to my new beauty tomorrow. 😌📱

I feel the percentage icon does not fit the rest of the status bar aesthetic… so that plus the fact my battery lasts me all day and I don’t miss monitoring it keeps me having that feature turned off.

Still waiting for UPS. Normally they get here by 3PM, but not today of course. Still says out for delivery by 7PM and has been out for delivery since 9:24AM.
