Albon and Lewis looking good in FP1 and FP2 so hopefully they can carry that momentum into Qualifying.
Zandvoort has been very dull the last 2 years and despite being a historic circuit, it’s long ceased being good enough for modern racing cars. It’s narrow and difficult to overtake on with the first corner providing one of the few places. Max will win with a turned down engine as usual with 20+ seconds over other drivers with rivals. I’m away in Devon so will skip this one happily.
Yup, unlucky. Between Piastry and the wall, he chose the wall, and the steering wheel bit back at him.
Seriously though Nick had his chance and unless Lawson puts in less 107% times I can't see them going back to him.
Qualifying had a little bit of everything. Congratulations to Lando and George on P2 and P3. The McLaren’s are fast. Mercedes doing a Ferrari strategy on Lewis.

McLaren doing a decent job at being best of the rest.
Max describes it as a tricky qualification but has a half second cushion.

I don't see how Max loses because...well Max and Red Bull. 😓
Best we can probably hope for is mixed conditions at the start which could allow the McLaren's to get ahead of him because they heat their tires so well and then once they do a monsoon hits and they have to Red Flag the race and never restart it. 😝

George plowing into the back of Max in turn 1 might be our best chance at an interesting race.
Even then there isn’t much overtaking, so not going to be a good one. A poor race in a poor season.
We will likely see a race with drying conditions, the most exciting bit could be the transition to slicks which will give opportunities for overtakes. We have had races much less eventful than that.
I wonder why Williams just not leave Sargeant on blocks, 7 laps and a lap down, ouch..oh it is on blocks, heading to a skip, pile of rusty bolts now..
While the winner was never really in doubt, with 20 to go the race has been a fair bit more interesting than I expected.
Really hope Albon can get a Top Five even if he has to run Mediums for his final stint and those tires are not good today.
