Well my Zeiss inserts have shipped. :) Apple Vision Pro still “preparing to ship” but UPS still says on track for Friday.

Here is a trick... Place an order for anything on Wednesday with UPS 2 day air with AM delivery... 2 days from Wednesday is Friday, and hopefully with any luck both items will be put on the same truck in the morning for AM delivery!

*Not guaranteed to work.

**I take all credit if it does.

***Not responsible for any additional charges that may occur as a result of this insane idea.

****UPS guy seemed to think it could work if it was 2 day delivery, Next Day Air would probably be a "different driver".

*****That is all.

Does it say "Shipment Delayed" on the orders page for anyone else, while at the same time also saying "Arrives Feb 2" when you click on the order? Very confusing

I wonder if it's quite literally tied on the back end to the UPS flight being 4 hours behind schedule. Either way, plenty of time for that shipment to go anywhere in the US by 2/2.

Also, does anyone know if UPS will hold a package at the customer center even if the destination address isn't tied to a UPS My Choice account? My address is incompatible with My Choice as it cannot receive USPS mail for the address verification (but it does receive UPS packages.)

I'm getting a snow storm on Thursday and Friday and I live in the mountains at high altitude down a road that UPS refuses to go while there's snow on the ground. It can take like 5+ days for them to deem it okay (and we're getting a second storm on Sunday) - packages just get loaded and go "out for delivery" and then continuously get a weather delay after each business day over and over again. My AVP is store pickup, but my Zeiss lenses is the package I'm worried about. Would love to be able to pick it up down the mountain morning of the 2nd instead of letting it go into limbo for a week.

Yeah good point, I thought the same when I saw the flight linked above. We shall see I guess.

No delay status here on Apple. UPS still showing 2/2, so not worried here for any possible delays.

If you are a Premium subscriber, you can opt for pickup at UPS Access or Store or counter.

If you don't have the premium, you can pay one time to have it sent to the UPS access or Store.

When I hit "change my delivery" I get a notice that's asking me to try again after a failed delivery attempt (though UPS will never actually reach my home with snow on the ground to even get one). Is this something you think they'll be able to handle over the phone? Will have to call tomorrow morning when I'm not working and see what the situation is like.
