Apple cancelled my lenses order due to ZEISS not being able to fill my prescription as it’s out of their range, said I can check with my doctor, I have bought lenses that have worked great with the metaquest 2,3 and psvr2 . Wtf. Gonna check if the same company will be making any
That's sort of silly.

Couldn't Apple just fill the order without the lenses and have you order it separately ?

I ordered mine without any corrective lenses as I have a very mild correction.

Was going to try it out without them and if I need it, I'd order a set.

I think they only cancelled the lense part of it but since they only gave one order number with it all not sure about the rest , it looks like it’s still ordered

Keep us updated - hopefully your order will ship separately.

Do let us know if contacting Zeiss will get a set of lenses made ?

Or maybe contact a competent opthamologist or optometrist to custom configure your existing lenses into the VP ?

Already been charged, and Preparing to Ship. Was thinking it was going to just be pending charge, but shows Preparing to Ship.

Came back here just to find this thread. I ordered this morning and have a Feb 2 delivery date. I've never been more excited for a device and the next couple weeks are going to be eternity.

Well, my February 8th delivery (small) 256B has already moved to preparing to ship- so here’s hoping maybe it’ll be a launch day surprise! I also ordered medium headbands as I think the small was a one off mistake anyway and probably is the reason for my 2/8 date at 5:02 lol…fingers crossed! They definitely charged my card haha.
I don't think the ship status means much at this moment. I ordered mine at 8:10 eastern time this morning, 256GB medium sized and have a delivery date February 6th but the order status still says order in progress.

And your delivery day can change or even move up as we have all seen before with iPhone, iPad and Mac devices showing up on launch day....

That’s how Apple financing works with the Apple Card. Financed items don’t reflect on your balance (card balance), but do count towards your limit (available). That means if you financed the Vision Pro you’re holding that on your overall balance which counts against your credit limit. Every month you’ll see the payment hit your card.
So you’re saying my card is otherwise useless until the device is paid off? The Apple/goldman sachs support people said this would correct itself within 24hrs

Is your Apple Card credit line able to pay for the entire amount ?

Before I ordered, I asked for a credit line increase and after 4 years of loyal use, I got a measly $500 increase, at least it was a soft pull.....

GS may becoming stingy or scared due to the upheaval w/ Apple.....
Same exact thing happened to me.

My friend suggested the same thing that since I only use my Apple Card to buy the occasional apple device and pay for apple care that they’re hardly incentivized to raise my limit now that we’re no longer in the world of ZIRP and I’m probably a money loss for them.

It's interesting to me, (although not that surprising) that when I go to order another one, the ship date has slipped until March 6th, but I could pick one up at my local Apple Store as early as Feb 3rd.

Why some of you have their orders showing 25W instead of 21W!

Apparently there are different versions of the light seal depending on how wide your eye-line is.
Will Apple stores have enough light seals on hand to switch out those that didn't accurately scan ?

I got 2 different light seal sizes when I scanned so I am wondering...

As for 24 hours later, none of my nearby 8 Apple stores have any slots for pickup.

Delivery is now 5 weeks out.

How bad are your eyes? My worst is -10.75 and I fear that will be too much.

Yes. Apple financing is a loan against your Apple Card credit limit. This is how it has always works, and it makes complete sense.

AVP financing is already showing up in my monthly Apple Card installments - even before it ships !

3% cash back is not too shabby.
At least I get 0% for 12 months - why not use someone else's money ?

Yes, pretty much. Your limit slowly increases as the Apple Vision Pro amount owed drops and you pay off the balance for the month that includes the monthly payment for the Vision Pro.

I’ve got a 15k limit on my Apple Card and with the Vision Pro financed I only have access to about 10k now.

I have access to nothing. I'm overdrawn. why is their support staff so useless. they told me this would clear up as soon as the first payment went out of pending and all would be fine. I'd happily pay off half the overall cost just to have access to my card again but I don't see an option for that
